On intros, crowd booed Pence, Christie, and Asa

Definitely a Dipshit loving crowd

DeSantis got a thunderous welcome.
So Dipshit lovers don't hate him.

Crowd VERY distracting. Hooting and hollering. No decorum. Jeez almost sounds like a soundtrack. How weird.

Good idea for Fani re Chesboro speedy trial ??

(Down side now that they try his case earlier than the rest and the rest know all the evidence, right?)

She could drop his charges? At the last minute, before discovery? Or limit discovery info? Then drop charges? Would others request a speedy trial too? Is there a deadline?

Surely GA prosecutors knew of GA law about speedy trial when they said they would all be tried together.
Wonder what their plan is.

View from Australia on trump

Great opinion piece... Just a few excerpts.

Snip
The United States’ current political crisis couldn’t happen here. Our Constitution (Section 44) doesn’t allow people with criminal records or those on trial to stand for parliament.

Snip
From down under, we see a sick deluded man of no redeeming features, full of racial hatred, ignorance, bile and misogyny. A deluded, pathetic liar unsuitable for the highest office in the land, if not the world. He sees complex problems and impregnates them with populism and implausible black-and-white solutions.

His opinions on subjects of internal and international importance are so shallow that one would think he spent the entirety of his youth in the wading pool at the local swimming pool, or six years in grade 6, and never academically advanced.

He is a crash-through politician with a ubiquitous mouth. Trump remains an incoherent mess who bounces back after each disaster thinking he has been impressive while those around him are laughing their heads off. Entertaining in a uniquely American way, he might be to the hillbillies, but leadership requires worldly character.

So we are literally screwed? or we are literally not screwed?

Know most here do not believe in mathematical trends in polling (good polls ok). So futile to mention that. But let's just say it's trump vs Biden.

Biden approval LOW ( fact). Can't get him younger but economy could improve? Trump approval LOW (but equal to post insurrection ( unbelievable). Indictments not chipping away!!!

And once again, is the plan to operate on a wing and a prayer? Work the neighborhood? AGAIN like there's no tomorrow (And there isn't)

Bet no one had what voter said to Pence on their Bingo card

‘I’m Glad They Didn’t Hang You,’ Iowa Man Tells Mike Pence

An attendee at the Iowa State Fair told former Vice President Mike Pence on Thursday he was glad “they didn’t hang you” during the January 6, 2021 storming of the Capitol.

As Pence walked through the Iowa State Fair, an unidentified man approached Pence and his entourage and said, “I’m glad they didn’t hang you.”

The man then raised a thumbs up before reiterating, “I’m glad they didn’t hang him.”

So is Jon Tester running for Senate again? Saw where

James Carville was asking for money because we are poised to lose the Senate because Tester wasn't running? But then looked it up and it appears he is running? (Although he did vote with Manchin and Sinema against Student Loan forgiveness), always liked this red state Dem!

Please share fresh tomato recipes/ideas?

In CT, peak tomato season .

Gonna just top these with olive oil, basil, S&P, and Parm and broil til cheese melted. Great easy side.

My sister read for a GREAT fresh pasta sauce, core ripe tomatoes and grated them into olive oil garlic and basil.

Please share ideas. Oh and sweet corn and yellow squash GREAT here. Green beans not so much... Bad year?

Rick Wilson got a message from trump team member?

https://twitter.com/WordswithSteph/status/1688010069986643968?

A very, VERY senior member of the Trump administration — whom Rick Wilson agreed not to identify — sent a message directly to Wilson. Rick shared the message with the audience of the show, never revealing the identity of the sender. The message was as follows: “I regret serving in his administration more than anything I’ve ever done in my life. Keep going. You’re patriots. Don’t quit.”

After reading the message to the Breakdown audience, Wilson ended the brief segment with a few choice words of his own: “And if you knew who that was, your f*cking eyes would pop out.”
