Ok am I the ONLY one who thought it was WAY too

soon, when it happened, to declare that the 2020 election was the safest election ever? Didn't anyone else think it was way too soon to declare that?

Now, duh, we're finding out R's indeed try to do who knows what and Biden would've won by more.

We've got to up our game!

Pellucidly (thanks Malaise) 100% absolutely positively RIDICULOUS that trump

Is refusing to tell SM/Court which documents he *supposedly* declassified. Highest level of absurdity he has reached IMHO.

Cosmetics Billionaire Convinced Trump That the U.S. Should Buy Greenland

Ronald S. Lauder, the Estée Lauder heir, offered himself up as back-channel negotiator to purchase Greenland from Denmark, a new book says. Denmark said no.

WASHINGTON — One of the odder moments of Donald J. Trump’s presidency came when he publicly floated the idea of buying Greenland. It caused a predictable furor, generated gales of late-night television jokes and soured relations with Denmark, which rejected the idea of selling the giant Arctic territory.

But it was no passing whim. While many assumed at the time that it was just Mr. Trump being Mr. Trump, expressing a far-fetched thought that came into his head, in fact the idea had been planted by one of his billionaire friends and became the subject of months of serious internal study and debate that flabbergasted cabinet secretaries and White House aides.

The notion came from Ronald S. Lauder, the New York cosmetics heir who had known Mr. Trump since college. “A friend of mine, a really, really experienced businessman, thinks we can get Greenland,” Mr. Trump told his national security adviser. “What do you think?” That led to a special team being assigned to evaluate the prospects, resulting in a memo that laid out various options, including a lease proposal akin to a New York real estate deal.

This account of the Greenland escapade is based on interviews with a wide array of figures close to the former president for a forthcoming book by this reporter and Susan Glasser of The New Yorker magazine called “The Divider: Trump in the White House, 2017-2021,” to be published by Doubleday on Tuesday. The portrait that emerged of Mr. Trump was of a mercurial commander in chief with a retinue that struggled to manage him, baffled by his flights of fancy and fearful that he would launch a war or violate the law long before his drive to overturn the 2020 election led to the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.

For just a minute, maybe my fantasy might help?

Since I lost my dad to Covid, I've transitioned into brief moments when I imagine a fantasy of him in a heavenly & happy place.

However silly, maybe this might help someone here who lost a loved one???

In this happy place where mind and body are perfect, and new and old favorite friends are beside you, there is a major buzz. Everyone is talking about the BIG news that someone really important is coming soon.

And lo and behold, as they all wait and watch... It's Queen Elizabeth! I just picture the excitement! I picture everyone trying to act cool. I picture my dad trying to curtsy.

Brings a smile to my face.

So trump moved his "operations" from MAL to Bedminster in May 2021??

No exact date, but saw this in an article published on politico of fg's first year out of office. And low and below is this entry for May. May is the time when supposedly boxes were moved and everyone thinks he hid docs in there. Good cover. Why would you move your ops away ?

Without looking at stats, how could the Kentucky coach surpass

Bear Bryant in wins.

Sure it's substantiated of course, but just doesn't seem likely on the surface

U.S. reveals more classified records may be missing in Trump probe

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Former U.S. President Donald Trump's team may not have returned all the classified records removed from the White House at the end of his presidency even after an FBI search of his home, U.S. prosecutors warned on Thursday, calling it a potential national security risk that needs investigation.

That revelation came in a Justice Department court filing asking U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon to let it continue reviewing about 100 classified records seized by the FBI at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate while it investigates whether classified documents were illegally removed from the White House and improperly stored there.

Good News? Most Americans see Trump's MAGA as threat to democracy: Reuters/Ipsos poll

Amazing it's not more, but will take it

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Days after Democratic President Joe Biden gave a fiery speech attacking former President Donald Trump and his Republican allies as an extremist threat, a Reuters/Ipsos poll completed on Wednesday found a majority of Americans believe Trump's movement is undermining democracy.

Fifty-eight percent of respondents in the two-day poll - including one in four Republicans - said Trump's "Make America Great Again" movement is threatening America's democratic foundations
