It's a beautiful shot,

but a shame about the lens. Sorry I don't have $800 laying around.

I'm glad you were able to get a replacement. We had a dropping mishap with my 70-200 a few winters ago, and it cost me over $600 to have it fixed.

I lived on the Mesa, too,

a few different places. My oldest daughter, heather, was born in a house up there on Birch Road, I believe, delivered by Helen Swallow. I played a lot of music (flute) with Chuck Alexander (who was still living there when we visited a few years ago) and other guitar players whose names don't come to mind immediately. I lived with Chris Hersey, who I later married (for a while). Do I know you?
