It is ELECTION fraud, NOT voter fraud. Semantics are very important here!

Voters are not committing fraud. "Voter fraud" is a term used by Banana Republicans to justify suppressing votes, as in rigid voter ID laws, voter registration database purges, etc. Think Brian Kemp, Kris Kobach, etc., who actually are committing ELECTION fraud, and justifying it by talking about voter fraud.

Of course there are many other forms of election fraud other than just voter suppression. But using the term voter fraud perpetuates the Banana Republican narrative that voters are committing fraud and therefore we need more stringent voter ID laws, etc. to stop those voters from voting twice, or whatever other narrative they spin about why we have to stop those fraudulent voters!

Edited to add Dennis Donovan's excellent point in reply #1 that "election fraud is very real and voter fraud virtually non-existent."

Russian Mother Takes Magical Pictures of Her Two Kids With Animals On Her Farm

Here's your happy break for today, to remind you that there is still a lot of love and beauty in the world.

"These wonderful photographs by Elena Shumilova plunge the viewer into a beautiful world that revolves around two boys and their adorable dog, cat, duckling and rabbit friends. Taking advantage of natural colors, weather conditions and her enchanting surroundings, the gifted Russian artist creates cozy and heartwarming photography that will leave you amazed.

The boys in the photographs are the photographer’s sons and the animals belong to the farm she runs. “I largely trust my intuition and inspiration when I compose photos. I get inspired mainly by my desire to express something I feel, though I usually cannot tell exactly what that is,” Shumilova explained to BoredPanda.

We need to start referring to GOP as Banana Republicans. Could we get this to catch on?

Rachel: "Pointing it out isn't enough. We have to plan how we are going to survive it."

Just now. She said, "We are there."
Asking about how can we protect those who speak out. Interviewing Mary McCord who was with DOJ for a long time RE DOJ intervening in Stone case.
Asking McCord what we can do. "How should we be answering these alarms as a country?"

Dan Rather: "They are counting on despair. That's how they win."

"There is a tendency to feel the despair well up from within, and not recognize it as a weapon being wielded with precision and purpose from without. They are counting on despair.

The greatest leaders in our history knew that despair is toxic to progress. Washington at Valley Forge. Lincoln at Gettysburg. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Birmingham. But more than the famous names are the countless women and men who have fought back against despair in the service of hope, and progress. I have seen it in foxholes, on picket lines, in classrooms, and in midst of natural disasters. I have seen it in the marches, movements, and moments where people rose up and said our world can be better, and we will do the hard work to make it so.

Despair these days is an understandable feeling. Our world seems in many ways upside down. To fight against the odds, against the powerful, against the morally bankrupt, is exhausting. But just remember, they are counting on despair. Will you let them have it?"

Ingo the dog and his owl friends. They love each other!
Ingo is photographer Tanja Brandt's dog. She says, "I love the beauty, power, loyalty, courage, and friendship of animals. Many people could learn from them.”

Lots more at link. Besides being heartwarming, these are also stunningly beautiful photos.

It really helps me to consciously look for uplifting things to counter the other stuff, and then to share the upliftment with others.
