London — Scotland's parliament was to vote Wednesday on whether the government should pursue a civil investigation into the financing of former U.S. President Donald Trump's Scottish golf courses. The leader of Scotland's Green Party, Patrick Harvie, called for the vote, the results of which would be non-binding, to "protect Scotland's good name from association with the toxic Trump brand."
"Our tourism offer is important. It's an important part of Scotland's economy and our society, and it should not be tarnished by association with this white supremacist, extremist, dangerous liar and bully," Harvie told CBS News.

He also said Mr. Trump's Scottish developments had hurt the environment.

"We have a long standing tradition in that land in Scotland is managed in everybody's interests, not just with the interests of a handful of wealthy people, and that environmental protection is supposed to mean something. What we've seen is that environmental protection being ripped up for a pretty empty promise around jobs, which never really materialized in the end anyway," Harvie said.

Scotland needs to take the land back and give back Trump his money. He promised thousands of jobs
@ one of his courses and in reality it has produced less then 100 and over 1/2 of those jobs are as caddies.
Trump's golf course in N.E. Scotland needs to be removed and the local ecosystem needs to be restored.
It was part of a "dune community" that moves with the wind and stretches on for miles and miles. Scotland
already has a number of golf courses and I can almost guarantee that there is some plants, critters, and insects
that only can be found in and around that dune ecosystem.
