Should we all start calling TFG a Quisling?

Thanx to DUer Gore1FL for the idea.

Doesn't A.G. James has it set up if TFG doesn't show up she can put a lein on all his NY properties?

I think I read that on the internet so it has to be true.

Thank Dog that Joe Biden is POTUS now (reports of shelling*)

People forget that Joe Biden has many many years of experience in foreign policy. He was on and
at times chaired the US Senate's Foreign Relations Committee and that was one of his specialties
as V.P. for President Obama. Now they doesn't mean that Russia will not invade the Ukraine or things
will not "go bad" over there but this isn't Joe B's 1st rodeo. If Russia invades the Ukraine their multi
billion dollar gas pipeline to Germany will be over and Putin needs that money.

BTW Joe Biden is the best President I have ever seen and with reports of shelling now he is going to be put
to the test.

thanx to Earth First for posting this.

TFG hangs himself with his own words. NY A.G. fires back at Trump's defense of financial statements

Trump’s attorneys trying to give him a defense against NY’s A.G.: He just did not know all about “that stuff."

Trump: Oh yes I know all about “that stuff.”

NY’s A.G. Letitia James: Oh really, Donny. Tell me more.

Trump's attorneys repeatedly stated that he did not know enough to respond to allegations of inaccurate valuations. But the former president's five-page statement got into detail about possible discrepancies, implying that he had more knowledge than his lawyers said.

"It is not unusual for parties to a legal proceeding to disagree about the facts," the attorney general's office wrote in a letter filed in New York state court. "But it is truly rare for a party to publicly disagree with statements submitted by his own attorneys in a signed pleading -- let alone one day after the pleading was filed.”

I’ll take late April when Trump flees the country.

You were warned.

My half baked theory on those protesting Canadian truckers.

Near as I can tell Russia was helping with their bots and trolls by spreading disinformation*, rich right wing
Americans will helping to pay for "it," and shits like Rand Paul and Fox News were cheerleading the blockades
in hopes that it would cripple the US economy so they could then blame Joe Biden for the hard times that
Americans would have in a stunted economy. Kind of like DeSantis and Abbott helping to spread the virus so
they can blame Joe Biden for not getting the disease under control.

* This disinformation was well targeted to right wingers using platforms like Facebook.

Kentucky Senate panel advances ban on transgender athletes

Good thing KY has all their other problems "fixed" ... Welcome to "Culture Wars 2022"

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - A Kentucky Senate committee has advanced a bill to bar transgender girls from participating in school sports that match their gender identity.

The Republican-led Senate Education Committee approved the measure Thursday.

The vote came after committee members heard impassioned pleas from transgender girls and their parents not to take the action.

But its lead sponsor, Sen. Robby Mills, focused on high school athletics. He says it would ensure girls compete against other “biological females.” Opponents say the bill’s restrictions are unconstitutional.

CBS: National Archives asks Justice Department to investigate Trump's handling White House records

Is this why McConnell, other Republicans and some at Fox are distancing themselves from TFG?

CBS National Archives asks Justice Department to investigate Trump's handling of White House records

The National Archives and Records Administration has asked the Justice Department to investigate former President Trump's handling of White House records, CBS News has learned.

A referral does not necessarily mean that there will be an investigation, a source familiar with internal deliberations said. The source said referrals like these are standard procedure when there are possible criminal violations. The Washington Post was the first to report the request.

The handling of White House documents during the Trump administration has come under scrutiny recently after the National Archives retrieved 15 boxes of records from the former president's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

(Trump's lawyers had him release the following statement)

"Following collaborative and respectful discussions, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) arranged for the transport of boxes that contained Presidential Records in compliance with the Presidential Records Act," the former president said. "Much of this material will someday be displayed in the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library for the public to view my administration's incredible accomplishments for the American people. The media's characterization of my relationship with NARA is Fake News. It was exactly the opposite! It was a great honor to work with NARA to help formally preserve the Trump Legacy."

A good news story from Columbus, OH

Well a right wing dentist had rented out some of his property to Mike Lindell aka "my pillow guy" for a brick and mortar retail store late last summer. Well I drove by it today and pillow guy sign was down and a for rent sign was up.

They could not have picked a worst spot in America for a Mike Lindell/my pillow guy store. Clintonville is very liberal and I know a bunch of people who wanted to welcome Mike to the neighborhood.

USA Today: The 'but Hillary's emails' crowd goes silent about Trump's document destruction

Remember when, in October 2016, House Republicans launched a series of hearings attacking the then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton over her emails?

Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, who now serves as the lead Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, fumed that “Hillary Clinton gets treated different than anybody else.” Another member of the panel stated, “This is the reason for this hearing – the sloppiness, the messiness, and the ability for a secretary of State to do something that shouldn’t have been done.” Another Republican weighed in, “I want to know about the destruction – the hammering of BlackBerrys.” The panel’s chairman at the time, Jason Chaffetz, who can now be seen espousing self-righteous nonsense of Fox News, attacked Clinton, “The secretary had a choice. She chose to not abide by the rules of the State Department.”

As reported by The Post, “The National Archives and Records Administration last month retrieved 15 boxes of documents and other items from former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence because the material should have been turned over to the agency when he left the White House, Archives officials said Monday. … The Archives has struggled to cope with a president who flouted document retention requirements and frequently ripped up official documents, leaving hundreds of pages taped back together – or some that arrived at the Archives still in pieces.”

Given these bombshell revelations, coupled with their concern for federal government record-keeping compliance, you would think Republicans would be foaming at the mouth, chanting “Lock Him Up” and calling for an immediate series of hearings and subpoenas to be issued to anyone who was a part of the Trump White House.

Jim Jordan isn’t grand-standing on Fox News calling Donald Trump incompetent or a liar or “absolutely wrong.”
