stevenleser's JournalDon't miss my radio show this week!
Don't miss my show this week that will air today, Sunday July 21st at 7pm Eastern time on blogtalkradio.com at the below link and at 2pm Pacific time on KCAA radio 1050am on inland empire on Monday July 22nd.
A bit of sad personal news. One of my mother's brothers has passed away, my mother is from Panama so I am doing the show here in Panama because I am here for my uncle's funeral.
Topics today will include the Detroit Bankruptcy, Obamacare's lower costs, the opinions of Latinos regarding the progress of immigration reform and the increasing global wealth desparity and what that might mean and more. We will also have our hall of fame and shame this week for those politicians and prominent individuals who made great sense or shameful nonsense respectively.

xPost from BOG:
Looks like I am going to be on the Fox News Channel at 4:05pm today discussing whether the Federal Government should bailout Detroit with Jenna Lee who will be subbing for Neil Cavuto on "Your World with Neil Cavuto."
The pensions of hundreds of thousands of city workers is at stake in this bankruptcy.

This pic regarding the Zimmerman case says it all
Funny and infuriating at the same time.
xpost - My show tonight at 7pm Eastern time, Zimmerman verdict, VA Gov resignation, Special Guest...
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/lesersense/2013/07/14/making-sense-with-steve-leser--weekly-news-special-guestOur format for this weeks show will be a little different. I am going to go briefly through a number of the top pieces of news for the week and then we have a special interview with Sarri Singer who was a witness to one terrorist attack and the victim of another and now runs an organization that seeks to help victims of terror cope with the aftermath of their attack.
Then we will have our trademark weekly hall of fame and shame for those politicians and prominent individuals who made great sense or shameful nonsense respectively.

The verdict in the Zimmerman case is a terrifying statement for anyone who is a person of color.
The verdict in the Zimmerman case is a terrifying statement for anyone who is a person of color. If you look like "the other" walking through a neighborhood, you are taking your life into your hands.
I stand with the NAACP in their efforts to get the justice department to file Federal Civil Rights charges against Zimmerman. Perhaps that can provide some justice as it did in the Rodney King case some 20 years ago.
