Steven Leser discusses the Syrian strike and its aftermath with Bill Tucker on Newsmax

The portion of my appearance on Newsmax yesterday where I discuss the Syrian strike. Sure, I'm in favor of punishing a dictator that has used poison gas against his own civilian population. That decision isn't a tough one or one that necessarily makes you "Presidential".

The real issue of Syria is, since Trump has reversed himself regarding the US being involved and Assad needing to be gone, now what do we do? I have zero confidence Trump will figure out the right way to deal with the broader issues here and make no mistake this is a complex and difficult situation.

Jackass Radicals can't discuss Alex Jones threats against Schiff without criticizing Schiff and more

They think Schiff should "Shut up" and is full of "Schitt" for saying there is evidence their direct or indirect candidate (Trump) conspired with Russia
https://jackpineradicals.com/boards/topic/alex-joness-threat-to-congressman-may-be-a-felony/

Also while the Jackasses like to criticize Democrats for in their opinion "Not having spine" OPs posted there regarding the Nuclear option overcoming a Democratic filibuster have no comments several hours later and no acknowledgement that Democrats pulled together to do the only legislative thing they could to try to stand in the way of this terrible nominee:

https://jackpineradicals.com/boards/topic/mitch-mcconnell-goes-nuclear-to-break-supreme-court-filibuster/

and finally the armchair radicals are repeating false RW talking points about Rice and spying on Trump:

Bloomberg: Obama Nat'l Sec. Advisor Rice spied on Trump, lied on PBS
Finally, evidence from a solid source backs up the core accusations made that ranking officials of the outgoing Obama Administration spied on candidate Donald Trump and his close associates during the 2016 campaign. Furthermore, Bloomberg News correspondent Eli Lake identifies former National Security Advisor Susan Rice as having used NSC computers last year to review selected intelligence intercepts to identify specific U.S. citizens who communicated with foreign officials.

UPDATED: Breaking: Bannon has been removed from the National Security Council - Bloomberg

more info and links as I get them UPDATED:

https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2017-04-05/bannon-removed-from-national-security-council-role-in-shakeup

President Donald Trump reorganized his National Security Council on Wednesday, removing his chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, and downgrading the role of his Homeland Security Adviser, Tom Bossert, according to a person familiar with the decision and a regulatory filing.

National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster was given responsibility for setting the agenda for meetings of the NSC or the Homeland Security Council, and was authorized to delegate that authority to Bossert, at his discretion, according to the filing.

Under the move, the national intelligence director, Dan Coats, and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Marine Corps General Joseph Dunford, are again "regular attendees" of the NSC’s principals committee.

Bannon, the former executive chairman of Breitbart News, was elevated to the National Security Council’s principals committee at the beginning of Trump’s presidency. The move drew criticism from some members of Congress and Washington’s foreign policy establishment.

xPost from GD: Oddly worded NYP article attempts to malign LGBT teen girls...

... ends up making the reporter look silly instead.

Check out this odd sentence in the below NY Post article designed to portray lesbian/bi teenage girls as promiscuous but ends up comically the worst written sentence I have seen in a major print newspaper in a long time:

This “vulnerable population of girls” who engage in same-sex or bisexual activity are twice as likely as heterosexual teens to be sexually active.

-24% approval level. 59% Disapprove, 35% approve of Trump

http://www.gallup.com/poll/201617/gallup-daily-trump-job-approval.aspx

Both numbers are the worst he has ever had. If we look at the below Pew report showing Party ID and leaners, Trump is well into losing part of his base.

Trump officially became an illegitimate President today

Trump officially became an illegitimate President today. He is in office because he and his campaign conspired with an adversarial foreign power to commit seditious espionage against his rival for the Presidential election. And the FBI has evidence of this. This is a crime that has no parallel in the history of the United States. It must result in the resignation of Trump, Pence, their cabinet as well as anyone who knew of this possibility and sought to suppress this including Mitch McConnell.

We DUers all knew this to be the case. What we didn't know is whether the evidence would be there to prove it. The FBI now says they have evidence.

This is Watergate times a thousand. What Nixon did was a parking ticket compared to this.

Prof Rothkopf's take on Trump supporters

He calls it "The Shallow State" and contrasts it with the nonexistent "deep state" in terms of threats. On that and his description of what Trump supporters are looking for I'm hard pressed to disagree. More at https://goo.gl/zTsE7J
