****WCGreen Update --Saturday March 28, 2015****

From his wife:

Chris moved back to Kindred last Thursday; the Cleveland Clinic said he was stable. As he was in an ICU at the Clinic, they put him in their Special Care Unit, SCU, bed 2. I like it as he can be monitored 24/7 (there are only 6 beds), unlike the other floor where coverage is thin. Chris does need more monitoring.

Thankfully, he is eating today; he wasn"t allowed before as they wanted to rule out that he was aspirating the food and it was contributing to his secretions. He has been so tired.

Here is his complete address:

Christopher Green
Kindred Hospital Cleveland
SCU (or Special Care Unit), Bed 2
11900 Fairhill Road
Cleveland, OH 44120

Another quote for today:

“We're all going to die, all of us, what a circus! That alone should make us love each other but it doesn't. We are terrorized and flattened by trivialities, we are eaten up by nothing.”

A thought on the horrifying airplane accident over France:

The Los Angeles Times has a columnist who often has spoken about events that leave most of us speechless. His name is Steve Lopez and he used to write a column called Points West. Back in 2004-05, an awful mudslide buried a town, killing many residents. The title was "Ordinary Lives Derailed by Fate" and it was published on January 28, 2005.

Steve had this to say about that, and I thought it was really applicable to yesterday's events:

"There is no rhyme or reason. There is only the chilling reminder that we live precariously and die randomly, and that there is honor in facing each day with purpose and grace."

Wayfarer's Chapel

Like fizzgig, I too needed to get out of the house today.......so I drove up to the Palos Verdes Peninsula to the Chapel designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. I've been there before but not in several years.

This political cartoon made me laugh, and I hope it does the same for you...
