A dozen armed white men marched around outside the Republican National Convention in downtown Cleveland on Monday afternoon.

Salon spoke with the men, who call themselves the West Ohio Minutemen.

The men were armed with what they identified as AR-15, AK-47 and G3 assault rifles.

“We are defending freedom,” Stevenson told Salon. When asked what kind of freedom, he replied, “Freedom of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.”

He and other climate crisis-denying policymakers have benefited from a well-coordinated network of industry front groups, conservative think tanks and law firms bent on blocking the Clean Power Plan. A good chunk of the funding for this cabal comes from some of the country’s largest electrical utilities companies.

It seems like the heat of a sexual assault suit was just too much to handle for the Fox News crew and Roger Ailes is being given the boot as a result!

The news broke Monday afternoon as the rumors were confirmed that Fox News owners the Murdoch family intends to cut ties with Fox CEO and president Roger Ailes.

This information is coming from two anonymous sources with intimate knowledge of the sexual assault case who say that the Murdochs have all agreed that Ailes needs to go. Apparently the family is waiting until the GOP convention has concluded to make the major change-up.

The sweeping abortion bill that Indiana Gov. Mike Pence signed into law in March gained national attention for prohibiting women from electing to have an abortion due to the race, gender, or disability of the fetus. But the bill contained another unusual provision: It required that aborted fetuses receive what amounts to a funeral.

Pence, whom Donald Trump announced as his vice presidential running mate on Friday, signed the law that made Indiana the second state ever, after North Dakota, to pass a ban on abortions carried out for certain reasons. The law also imposed liability for wrongful death on doctors that perform an abortion motivated by one of the prohibited reasons. And, as Mother Jones reported in March, the law also required that health care facilities inter or cremate the remains of an aborted fetus, and prohibited fetal tissue donation.
