No doubt, there are a lot of assholes that are Trump supporters.

But, grouping them all together and saying forget about them is being unjust to the ones that may not be assholes and will take the opportunity to say to their peers that this guy makes sense.

And, even if assholes decide to vote for Bernie, they are only supporting the better good for all Americans.

Your suggestion that this idea of inclusion is RW and racist is simply wrong. It is just the opposite. If you want to react to offensive behavior, then that is right and even noble. You should. But focus on the assholes themselves, not Bernie. He is trying to unite America.

There's always a risk.

There are many people like myself who respect the risk takers for their courage. I know a lot of good people who are Independent and Republican who are listening to Bernie. I am optimistic and I believe Bernie can turn America around and make America about Americans. All Americans.

If you won't vote for someone because someone else does. So be it.

We disagree. I think the campaign of inclusion will take the day.

Bernie is not going after Trump supporters and ignoring his base.

He is trying to bring people together.

You may feel that the sexist bigot is always going to be a sexist bigot and we should shun them but I'll take Bernie's approach of trying to appeal to their rational side and change them for the better.

Even if the sexist bigot is set in his/her own ways, they have friends and family that can be shown the light through reason.

Hating back and excluding people is not the answer.

As off base as they may be, ignoring them is not going to help.

Sander's could actually enlighten a small percentage of them and that puts us ahead.

Why such vitriol over an attempt to change their views?

I don't want "those people" in our party.

You're sounding like the people you claim to dislike.

Speaking of opinion... this is a fantastic line...

"Bernie Sanders is just a kind old man trying to fix America, and I think we should let him.”

I Agree 100%

Bring Back the War Tax

Is it even moral to profit from war? If war is business then it should be highly taxed.

Since WWII, business interests have tried to convince us that profit from war was business as usual. It seems we have bought in to it.

It's time we reintroduce the tax on war profits if for no other reason than to take care of our Veterans. However, the profits from war are massive and these taxes could help Americans in many ways.

Excess profits tax

In the United States, an excess profits tax is a tax, some say excise tax, on any profit above a certain amount. A predominantly wartime fiscal instrument, the tax was designed primarily to capture wartime profits that exceeded normal peacetime profits to prevent perverse incentives for manufacturers to engage in war profiteering and warmongering.

Snip...
The Korean War induced Congress to reimpose an excess profits tax, effective from 1 July 1950 to 31 December 1953. The tax rate was 30 percent of excess profits with the top corporate tax rate rising from 45% to 47%, a 70 percent ceiling for the combined corporation and excess profits taxes.

Take the profit out of our wars and they will end tomorrow.

It's your choice: Regime Change or Improving the Lives of Americans

Hillary said we can not afford Bernie's plans to improve the lives of Americans during the debate. Yet, she also said that we can afford regime change in the ME.

Before we bring Democracy to other countries, maybe we should restore it here in America.

Below are quotes from Bernie about War and his Priorities.

"Let us wage a moral and political war against war itself, so that we can cut military spending and use that money for human needs." – Bernie Sanders

--

“War should be in my view, the last resort of a great nation. We should explore every other option -- and I know that opens up the political types: ‘Oh, you’re wimpy. You don’t want to go to war.’ Well, I don’t accept that. I’ve talked to too many people who came home without legs, without eyesight, with traumatic brain injury,” - Bernie Sanders

--

"I voted against the defense budget because it is absurd to spend 60 percent of our discretionary budget on defense when we have so many unmet needs in terms of education, infrastructure, nutrition and health care. Everyone knows the defense budget has tens of billions of dollars of waste and fraud. It's time to get our priorities right." - Bernie Sanders

--

"After 14 years in Afghanistan and 12 years in Iraq, after the loss of almost 7,000 troops and the expenditure of trillions of dollars, I very much fear U.S. involvement in an expanding and never-ending quagmire in that region of the world." - Bernie Sanders

--

"The U.S. currently spends more money on the military than the next nine countries combined. Yet, despite some 45 million Americans living in poverty, 35 million without health care and veterans throughout the country sleeping on the streets, the only program that Republicans want to increase funding for is the military. Why?" - Bernie Sanders

--

“Do we substantially increase military spending and prepare for endless war in the middle-east, or do we make college affordable for all Americans, regardless of income.” – Bernie Sanders

Teachers influence every generation.

Being a teacher should be a well paid and sought after job so we get the best teachers for our children.

I forgot who said it or the exact quote... "People will forget what you look like, what you do and what you did but they will never forget how you made them feel". Teachers help America in so many ways.

This should be a point in Homeland Security - better teachers reduce radical behavior in our society.

But, public schools have been bombarded and have gone downhill for many years. Obviously the current system is not working. Time for change.

This is how to win an election. Against all odds. Fair and square.

Two Million Donations.

Bernie is showing that Democracy really does work.

Even when it looks like all is lost. Corporations own America. This old guy pops up talking about what he's talked about for most of his life, an America that works for Americans.

Hats off to Bernie!

Together, we can change directions and give our children a better world.

Hope shines bright.
