Happy Winter Solstice

December 21, 2013

Since you ask ...

Earlier this week (on Tuesday afternoon) I called one of the local car rental businesses. I reserved a small car for Mr ITW to pick up today. This morning I call to say we would be in at 11:30 instead of 10 AM. When we arrived (20 miles from home) Mr ITW was told there were no cars to be rented. [img][/img]

I was polite but firm about after 15 years of doing business with them I'll find a new rental company.

Well ... half an hour later ...

He drove out with a car, 10% discount and we have it until 12 noon on Monday to return it. He's driving down to see his granddaughters dance in The Nutcracker tomorrow.

Gotcha

That same tight ass alerted on one of my post recently. The jury voted 6-0 Leave. I seriously didn't see anything wrong with posting a photo of a attractive woman in a snowstorm.

With tomorrow's dawn

comes the longest night of the winter.

Sleep well, snuggled safely in your bed where nothing can harm you, Squinch.

If ...

You Cannot Move Up by Putting Others Down
No one has ever made himself great by showing how small someone else is. ~ Irvin Himmel

Truly know that, No one can ever rise up by putting others down. We can only rise up by walking up the ladder with the feet moving upwards. If you utilize one foot to push someone down, you're obstructing and blocking Your own time, which you otherwise would have used for climbing up the ladder, on your own merit.

I have felt this way since before I became aware of the behavior of others who could only feel better when making individuals feel diminished.

Indeed ...

Tomorrow would be a good time to snuggle under that feather comforter together.
It is the longest night.

It is a good thing.

Exactly my point.

Men and women both have good and bad sides.

As I was just discussing with another woman my age ... We were part of the bra-burner feminist generation. It wasn't about putting men down but helping women to live up to their true potential.

We believed in equality for everyone.

About In_The_Wind

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieve it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. ~~~~~~~~~ For, it ends in the blink of an eye. Carpe Diem (Seize the day)!
