About Me

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieve it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. ~~~~~~~~~ For, it ends in the blink of an eye. Carpe Diem (Seize the day)!

Do you have a KIA Soul? How do you like it?

I think Mr. I_T_W's pickup truck may be beyond reasonable repairs. In addition to needing a major brake job the crossmember chassis support is rusted through and needs replacement. The gas line is rusty.

We've done a lot $$$ of repairs on this 2001 Chevy Silverado.
Last week we had it flat-bedded to our old mechanic after the local repair shop said the brake job would cost over $1,000.

We will need to do some serious adjusting our budget for the next 66 months if we buy a new car but I won't have to worry about him every time he backs out of the driveway.

Between the towing (over and above the AAA limit) and the estimate from the shop we won't be using (cha ching) we are already out over $100.

Merry Christmas to one and all ...

For those of us who loathe winter ~ Vernal Equinox .....
(Spring) March 20 2017 6:28 AM EDT

I understand what Michelle is saying but I'm just going to continue feeding the birds as usual.

You know you're having a bad day when ...

You put the dog out the back door (sometime within the last 2 hours) and for got about her

You find your front tire 1/2 flat (and the tire pump is on loan 1/2 across the US)
Half the house went dark because something ( ) tripped the circuit breaker

How is your day going?

How many inches did you get last night ...

The snow started falling at 2:45 last night. ( I know cause the dog woke me to let her outside starting around 1AM ). Non of my neighbors have ventured out yet. Oh, and ... the snow is still coming down heavily!!!

It's a very good thing that our small Koi Pond has two heaters because the surface is frozen except for 10 inches around the heaters.

Glad this isn't my pond.

Happiness is a new TV.

My very old TV gave up the ghost months ago.
So I moved a small 22 inch TV from the dining room into my bedroom.
Sounded like a good idea, right?
My old eyes didn't agree. When I couldn't read the closed captioning at night (didn't want to disturb anyone) my viewing day was over.

Thanks to Black Friday and an unexpected day's work I now have a huge TV in my bedroom.

I had no idea how many details I was missing. [img][/img]
