Checklist before 12 inches of snow arrives covered in ice:
Clean out oven: when the power goes out we'll need heat.
Wash stovetop and extra saucepans. Find candles and flashlights. Check battery supply. Brew extra coffee before going to bed I don't mind the snowstorm but the thought of sitting here in the dark isn't a happy one. Stay warm and dry
