Senators concerned about failing dams in NY

WASHINGTON DC – There are almost 2,000 dams in New York and 424 of those are classified as high-risk, indicating that a failure would likely result in loss of life or major property destruction. US Senators Schumer and Gillibrand are seeking information to help prevent dam failures.

Four more residents on SUNY New Paltz's campus have tested positve for the coronavirus.

School officials say all four cases are known to be in close contact with students who have previously tested positive.

They are all in quarantine at this time and will be monitored by student health services.

There have been a total of seven students who have tested positve since the beginning of the fall semester, six are considered active with one who has recovered.

Right now, 14 students are in quarantine on campus and three more are in isolation.

So far, the college says there have been no reports of any employees testing positive.

Contract tracers are currently determining if anybody else may have been exposed.

This means war!

I've lived here for the last 8 years. Last week I was stung/bitten by a yellow jacket while sitting on the small back deck.

I found the underground nest opening at the corner of the deck. We have been slowly cleaning and painting the wood rails. Temp work stoppage.

So, I visited Lowe's for a yellow-jacket trap. Filled it as directed and hung it last night.

I'll be putting out do-it-yourself traps later today. I plan to use a sugar and water mix with vinegar and salt. The vinegar should keep honey bees away from the trap

Help! I love sitting outside with my pup, watching the birds and butterflies.

Obviously the stroke he had a few months back is still fogging his mind.

IMO: He is not fit to be my President.

I pulled a muscle in my neck painting the rails on the deck Saturday'

I've been under self imposed house arrest taking massive doses of pain killers every 4 hours. It's starting to feel better. When I stop bouncing off the wall walking down the hall I'll think about driving. Until then

We had a storm 2 weeks ago with golf ball sized hail. I was home so my car has lots of dents. My roof needs replacing. It's covered by insurance. My neighbor's car was totaled.

Enjoy your feel good meds. Oh, and slow your roll. Our old bodies take longer to heal.

The Trump Administration should be charged with a crime if Raul Grijalva becomes seriously ill.

This total disregard for human life must be stopped one way or another.

My heart will always belong to my 1st Golden.

His name was Lord Byron.

Of course we went searching for the love of his life. They had two litters. Beautiful pups which I gave away one at a time. I couldn't bring myself to sell them to strangers.

About In_The_Wind

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieve it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. ~~~~~~~~~ For, it ends in the blink of an eye. Carpe Diem (Seize the day)!
