I LOVE Women.

As a man, I am perpetually humbled and inspired by the awesomeness and sheer strength that is "woman."

It is simply beyond my ability to comprehend any man who does not admire, respect, and cherish the amazing capacity for greatness women exhibit without fanfare or complaint, on a daily basis.

Just for a second, if you can, forget about common foibles and behaviors (for these do not define women, they define human beings), and look at how women actually live, the barriers they face every day of their lives.

Consider the mountain of BS women endure in this world of male-centric cultures, and how women are, as a matter of course, "second-class" to men in pretty much every aspect of life. And then ask yourself, men, if you could endure such treatment for even a single day, let alone an entire lifetime.

I won't pander by apologizing for men and the terrible record we have in treating women.

Let me just say, instead - there are a lot of men out here who FINALLY understand, even if only rudimentally, how strong and wonderful women truly are, and though we will never truly know your burden, we wish to do what we can to lighten it - and we are standing with women against the STUPID and IMMATURE Republican "men," who are so filled with illogical and irrational hatred of you.

This embarrassing and viscious GOP war against women is nothing more than a rabid hatefest towards women peddled as religiously-inspired morality, despite there being nothing moral whatsoever about it. And while I can understand the mechanics which cause the general misogyny women constantly suffer, I will never understand this determined, vehement hatred Republicans feel towards women.

How is it possible such hate can exist to be packaged and legitimized and sanitized and ultimately institutionalized by these disgusting Republican shitheads? I sure don't know.

But I'll never accept it, and I'll never tolerate it, and I'll battle it the rest of my life...because I LOVE women.

The Cowardly Right Starting A Civil War? HA!

Who's gonna fight it for them?

They'll look at each other, say, "Okay, let's get 'em!!," and then just stand there, waiting for someone else to do it...

Why Would Romney Or Ryan Ever Drop Out?

Their political party outright owns the nation's voting machines.

And their political party commands the loyalty of a great many local and State politicians who control and operate those very voting machines.

No matter their scandals, no matter their records, no matter the polls - these are the facts of the 2012 Election.

All R&R have to do is tread water with the public while deflecting a willing and friendly press for another eight weeks or so as Crossroads and the Kocks do their dirty work and heavy lifting for them.

And, lest we forget, after all...

They own the machines!

And in their minds, and perhaps consequently in reality, THEY CAN'T LOSE.

So why the hell would they quit?

EDIT: I don't know if Repubs can pull another election theft off or not - I think they will try, and I think this time around it will turn out to be overreach- but I also sure wouldn't mind seeing a few UN monitors checking up on our elections this time around, because as we know a) Republicans are willing to cheat and b) Republicans are able to cheat.

If this does not make you at least a little nervous, allow me to refer you to the years 2000 and 2004 - plenty of data demonstrating the danger of fraud we face in November. I'll be taking photos of my completed ballot, rest assured, as they still use Diebold counting machines in my county...

IBM Claims "Spintronics Memory" Breakthrough

Computerworld - In a paper set to be published this week in the scientific journal Nature, IBM researchers are claiming a huge breakthrough in spintronics, a technology that could significantly boost capacity and lower power use of memory and storage devices.

Spintronics, short for "spin transport electronics," uses the natural spin of electrons within a magnetic field in combination with a read/write head to lay down and read back bits of data on semiconductor material.

By changing an electron's axis in an up or down orientation - all relative to the space in which it exists -- physicists are able to have it represent bits of data. For example, an electron on an upward axis is a one; and an electron on a downward axis is a zero...(snip)

Spintronics has long faced an intrinsic problem because electrons have only held an "up or down" orientation for 100 picoseconds...not enough time for a compute cycle...(snip)

In the study published in Nature, IBM...announced they had found a way to synchronize electrons, which could extend their spin lifetime by 30 times to 1.1 nanoseconds, the time it takes for a 1 GHz processor to cycle.

Amazing stuff. And apparently, Moore's Law lives on...and on...and on.

Science is so freaking cool.
