An actress is seeking a restraining order against Michael Avenatti after the prominent lawyer was arrested last week on suspicion of felony domestic violence.

Mareli Miniutti filed her petition Monday at the Santa Monica branch of Los Angeles County Superior Court, online court records show.
She was given a follow-up hearing date of Dec. 10.
Avenatti issued a statement on Twitter shortly after news of the court filing broke.
“I look forward to a full clearing of my name and disclosure of all of the facts. I have NEVER abused a woman or committed domestic violence against anyone. Any claim to the contrary is completely bogus and fabricated. I am a target. And I will be exonerated,” he wrote in the tweet.

Trump seeks to land blow against media in court fight with CNN

Source: msn

Donald Trump sought Wednesday to land a massive blow in his long-fought battle against the news media, with administration lawyers asserting in court that the president could bar "all reporters" from the White House complex for any reason he sees fit.

The sweeping claim, which came in the first public hearing over CNN's lawsuit to restore correspondent Jim Acosta's White House credentials, could have a dramatic impact on news organizations' access to government officials if it is upheld in court.
CNN argued in its lawsuit filed Tuesday that the White House infringed on Acosta's First Amendment rights by revoking his access in response to a dispute over a press conference

Trump argues in court filing that he can limit journalists' access to White House

Meanwhile, the Trump campaign is trying to capitalize on the lawsuit. On Wednesday it sent out an emailed survey to potential donors that asked recipients if they think the ban on Acosta was justified. The email's subject line was, "CNN SUES! Help Trump win."

Apparently they are seeking to fatten the Trump piggy bank .

Chris Christie floated as next attorney general after Kellyanne Conway's husband pens op-ed calling

Former New Jersey Gov. Christie is being floated as a candidate for attorney general, after President Trump forced out Jeff Sessions and installed a successor who has criticized the Mueller probe in the past.
Christie, who himself ran for president and served two terms in Trenton, ran Trump's transition before Mike Pence took over the task.
Christie met with Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner at the White House Thursday about prison reform, the White House told NJ Advance. Christie helped put away Kushner's father, Charles Kushner, for campaign and tax crimes.
His name was among several floated to become the nation's top law enforcement officer at a time Democrats are already calling a constitutional crisis.
