The Cherokee Chief Wants Scott Brown to Apologize

A day after Scott Brown supporters and staffers were caught on video taunting Elizabeth Warren supporters with tomahawk chop gestures and war cries, the Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation would like a stronger reaction from the candidate. Chief Bill John Baker emailed a statement to reporters that reads, in part:

"The use of stereotypical “war whoop chants” and “tomahawk chops” are offensive and downright racist. It is those types of actions that perpetuate negative stereotypes and continue to minimize and degrade all native peoples."

...

"We need individuals in the United States Senate who respect Native Americans and have an understanding of tribal issues. For that reason, I call upon Sen. Brown to apologize for the offensive actions of his staff and their uneducated, unenlightened and racist portrayal of native peoples."

Warren, of course, probably isn’t going to make the “racism” claim herself. When reporters asked if she was “appalled as a Native American,” she replied artfully that “I am appalled as an American,” reports the Herald. Brown said after the video started circulating that he “It is certainly something that I don’t condone” but it sounds like Baker wants a stronger repudiation.

Mitt Romney claims the right to starve Americans if it makes money for him

That's the bottom line.

Catfood? You don't even have the right to a tin of cat food, chump.

Romney wants to take us back to the good old days of the pre-FDR 1930s. From The New Republic in 1933:

"There is not a garbage-dump in Chicago which is not diligently haunted by the hungry. Last summer the hot weather when the smell was sickening and the flies were thick, there were a hundred people a day coming to one of the dumps. A widow who used to do housework and laundry, but now had no work at all, fed herself and her fourteen year old son on garbage. Before she picked up the meat, she would always take off her glasses so that she couldn't see the maggots."

Make sure that retirees and all of the other folks he considers to be "takers" know this is our future if, God forbid, President Romney is inaugurated come January.

Call me a Republican shill (again!), but...

I think we should all heartily thank Willard Romney. Thanks to his efforts and Mother Jones' reportage, we now have a leader of the 1%, on the record, proudly yammering that half of Americans are grifters of no importance. They just want free stuff, they consider themselves victims, they take no responsibility for themselves.

And, as usual, he reasoning is based on abject bullshit.

If there was ever any question that these folks don't give a fuck about working Americans... it's no longer a question.

IMPORTANT: The only group in which Romney is leading in the polls is those 65 And older. Please make sure that you show this video this everyone you know who is retired. Make sure they know that Willard says they're whining scammers.
