Has anyone read Dark Towers, about the Trump / Deutsche Bank / Russian Mob ties?

There is periodic excitement over essentially the same set of claims arising from documents allegedly possessed by Val Broeksmit, the somewhat colorful soon of a former Deutsche Bank executive who committed suicide in California some time ago.

The last go-round I recall was this one:

https://www.democraticunderground.com/100212834656

...but there had been previous re-packagings of essentially the same narrative.

In a nutshell, Mr. Broeksmit claims to have a trove of documents showing Russian involvement in loans made by DB to Trump entities based on false financials provided by Trump.

The death of his father adds the requisite "ooh they got him" flair to the story - bits and pieces of which are periodically re-packaged and re-published by a website called https://forensicnews.net/. The operators of that website have cheap hosting which goes down every time they attract substantial traffic, on which basis they claim to be under "attack" every time they tease one of the Broeksmit-sourced stories.

A New York Times reporter, who did some substantial coverage on Broeksmit and the his documents, was in the process of writing a book, which was released last week.

Prior to the release of that book, quite a number of DUers had expressed anticipation in receiving their pre-ordered copy.

This just occurred to me, since I figured if the book contained explosive information, then it would certainly make waves. So, I'm curious to know, from those DUers who were anticipating the book, whether there were any new tidbits of note, or whether the drip-drop previous disclosures constitute the sum of what is known from Broeksmit's cache of documents?

Has anyone read it?

Avenatti Prepares To Attack Stormy Daniels

Avenatti's Attorney Eyes Stormy Daniels' Credibility as Defense to Theft Charges

A new attorney for Michael Avenatti, the disgraced California attorney convicted earlier this month of extorting Nike Inc., said he plans to make Stormy Daniels’ credibility a central issue in an upcoming trial on charges that he stole from the adult film star and one-time client.

Thomas Warren, a partner with Pierce Bainbridge Beck Price & Hecht, said Avenatti’s defense team would challenge inconsistent statements that Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, had made about her relationship with Avenatti, as well as money that she supposedly owed him for legal work he did on her behalf.

“I wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to cross-examine Stormy Daniels in a million years,” Warren told reporters after a hearing Tuesday afternoon in Manhattan federal court.

“It isn’t a documents case, really. It’s a case about the credibility of Stormy Daniels,” he said.

I'm not sure this is going to help him among Super Tuesday voters.

If you think Sanders supporters are nasty

...then it is interesting to imagine what would happen if there were no other focus than Trump at which to direct it.

We don’t need any socialist ideas like the government vaccinating people.

Did you catch the Charles Manson episode of The Monkees?

The one where he had a brief cameo, and they never showed it again?

For the curious, the full movie is on YouTube

It’s Tyrone Power, by the way...
