Can Obama salvage the rest of this failed second term

I was very pleased with the election last week, but after reading DU, I think we can safely conclude that the second term has been an abject failure.

The question remains whether, in the few remaining days of this second term, is there anything that can be salvaged, or have we hit the point of no return?

The second term was a heady several hours of optimism and hopes, which have now been dashed - kicked to the curb under the bus to slurp the final remains of vomit there.

I guess the only thing left to do is for him to order the invasion of Iran. Not once in the last five minutes has he clearly denied his obvious intention to do so.

It is not conducive to civil discussion to have a "Latest Threats" tab

If we want people to discuss things civilly, then I don't see any good purpose served by highlighting the most obnoxious posts on DU with its own navigation tab. It only serves to foster and promote a Jerry Springer Show atmosphere to direct people to find the "Latest Threats".

I, for one, refuse to use it.

Of course the only reason why he was kept in the administration was to give the Obama thugs time to set him up and knock him down in order to eliminate him as a future political opponent.

I question the timing here. Just as we are re-grouping from the stolen election, they kneecap the best prospect for 2016.

Can't decide if I'm lazy or still just unpatriotic

The GOP confuses the heck out of me. Last time I voted for Obama, I thought it was because I hate America. But now I am led to believe that this time around I did it because I'm lazy and looking for a handout.

Can it be that I've become so complacent about hating the United States, that I simply became too lazy about it?

Megyn Kelly - "When we rehearsed this..." Catch it?

When Karl Rove went into meltdown over Ohio (during which Ohio itself became irrelevant), I was dipping into the schadenfreude by watching Fox.

Basically, they had him throwing his hissy while Anchormodel Megyn Kelly was sent from the news desk, camera in tow, to the "decision desk" boiler room to convey Rove's questions.

As she was going down the hall, she got to a point where she said "When we rehearsed this, my sound cut out right about here" indicating the range of her wireless headset.

"When we rehearsed this"?

They "rehearsed" Rove's freak out and her dramatic stroll to the decision desk?

Anyone else notice that? Why, pray tell, would they have "rehearsed" that performance?
