Against my better angels, I took a tour of the Internet fever swamps to see how the denizens thereof are taking the news. True to form, they did not disappoint.
What strikes me in some of their ridiculous reactions is that our currency used to be a lot more interesting than a collection of dead presidents (plus Ben Franklin) in the first place.
We have had Native Americans:
We have even had pagan gods!
Can you imagine the conniptions that would result from proposing to put a pagan god on US currency today?

As you may know, Francis doesn't use the traditional papal apartment suite, so he's letting Bernie crash there.
It's Pope-BNB - just like Uber, which Bernie adores because they secretly use the identities of all of the Uber drivers' iPhones to donate exactly $27 dollars from each weekly.
Update on Sanders' Vatican lodging, for those concerned..

At the time, Katie's Restaurant had been closed for 15 years.

News Journal feature writer Ryan Cormier blogged the next day that the Katie's mention caught him and food writer Patricia Talorico off guard. He said she checked "and realized Biden was referring to the long-closed Katie's Italian restaurant," two blocks from Union at Sixth and Scott streets.
I'll never forget the ruckus here at DU when Biden referred to a restaurant in near his own home that doesn't exist.
