Shocking details on Wikileaks latest released DNC hack -- 29 audio recordings.

Brace yourself:

http://www.dallasnews.com/news/politics/headlines/20160727-wikileaks-releases-audio-files-of-hacked-dnc-voicemails.ece

The bulk of the 29 voicemails published on the WikiLeaks website are messages left asking for calls back. One is a 16-second clip of a man and his young child talking about going to see elephants at a zoo.

There is also a 59-second voicemail that appears to be from a Clinton supporter who promises to leave the Democratic Party if it continues to "coddle" Sanders.

"I'm furious about what you are doing for Bernie Sanders, he's getting way too much influence," the woman says. "I'm on a fixed income. I spend over $300 donated to Hillary and what I see is the DNC bending over backwards for Bernie."

Another voicemail from a woman with a 480 area code, which covers Phoenix, includes her asking why the DNC allowed Sanders to include Cornel West, who has been critical of President Barack Obama, on the platform committee.

Idiotic c-span commentator, National Journal reporter, criticized Bill Clinton

for not including Monica Lewinsky and all the "dark" years in his nomination speech for Hillary, saying his speech therefore wasn't believable.

What a jerk.

So there's really no place to watch the convention where you're not going to run into someone saying something nasty.

Michael Bloomberg, perfect foil to Trump: "I'm a New Yorker. I know a con when I see one."

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2016/07/michael-bloomberg-democrats-found-perfect-foil-donald-trump

When the billionaire took the stage at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, he became a powerful surrogate for the Democrats this election cycle because he is in a unique position to bring home two main points about this presidential election.

First, Bloomberg, who has been both a Republican and a Democrat but is now neither, spoke to his fellow independents watching the convention. He attempted to connect with them, asserting that he has never believed either party has all the answers, even referencing his disagreements with Hillary Clinton. But at a time when some supporters of Bernie Sanders talk openly about not supporting Clinton—and apathy for her campaign more broadly threatens to doom her candidacy—Bloomberg pleaded with independents and disillusioned Democrats not to make the perfect the enemy of the good.

Whatever your differences with Clinton are, he said, "we must unite around the candidate who can defeat a dangerous demagogue."

Second, Bloomberg's authority in denouncing Trump comes from the fact that he is a fellow New York billionaire. And from that place, Bloomberg eviscerated Trump's business record. "Trump says he wants to run the nation like he's running his business," he said, noting Trump's history of bankruptcies and bilking contractors. "God help us!"

Michael Bloomberg is on RIGHT NOW (in case your network isn't covering him).

He's on c-span, explaining why he believes it's imperative to elect Hillary Clinton.

He's the former mayor from NYC, a political independent.

"We must unite around the candidate who can defeat a dangerous demagogue. . . .If you're not yet registered to vote, go online and do it now."

"I built a business, and I didn't start it with a check from my father."

"We need someone who is a problem solver, not a bomb thrower."

"Most of us know that we are only as good as our word, but not Donald Trump."

Now he's talking about Trump's abysmal business record, his bankruptcies, etc.

"Trump says wants to run the nation like he's running his business. God help us! Im a NYer, and I know a con when I see one."

"Trump is a risky, radical, and reckless choice"

"Hillary Clinton understands this is not reality television, this is reality."

"Not a choice between a Democrat and a Republican, it's a choice of who is better to lead our country right now. There is no doubt in my mind that Hillary Clinton is the right choice this November.

I am asking you to join with me . . . to elect a sane, competent person, with international experience, a unifier who is mature enough to reach to for advice . . . "

I want to see a real transcript of his speech! He's doing exactly what I hoped he'd do. As a businessman, he's ripping Trump's business "success" to shreds.

The smoking gun: Don Trump Jr brags about the money that's been pouring in from Russia.

This was in 2008. And then in Feb. 2015, his brother Eric Trump says that Russian investment has been slowing because of the drop in oil prices.

So the Trumps haven't necessarily been investing money in Russia -- Russians have been pouring money into the Trump orgs.

And the Trump orgs need that Russian money to keep flowing.

http://www.eturbonews.com/5008/executive-talk-donald-trump-jr-bullish-russia-and-few-emerging-ma

"And in terms of high-end product influx into the US, Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets; say in Dubai, and certainly with our project in SoHo and anywhere in New York. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia. There's indeed a lot of money coming for new-builds and resale reflecting a trend in the Russian economy and, of course, the weak dollar versus the ruble," he said

Feb. 2015

New York City real estate is hot, Eric Trump told CNBC on Wednesday, despite what he sees as somewhat slowing Russian investment due to the collapse in oil prices.

"There's a lot of foreign investment coming into the city. They feel very comfortable parking their money here," said the executive vice president of development and acquisitions for The Trump Organization. "Does that change with the oil prices and the lack of Russian funds coming in? I think we'll see a little bit of that."

THE BACKGROUND (Look how evasively Trump and Manafort answered these questions)

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/donald-trump-denies-he-has-any-ties-to-russia/

CBS4's Jim DeFede then asked Trump about whether Russian funds have flowed into his businesses and if Russian President Vladimir Putin is trying to control him as a result.

"Is that the theory? I haven't heard that at all," Trump said. "I mean I haven't heard that. But I have nothing to do with Russia, nothing to do, I never met Putin, I have nothing to do with Russia whatsoever."

Trump's campaign chairman Paul Manafort also denied on Wednesday that the GOP presidential nominee has any financial ties to Russia.

In an interview on "CBS This Morning," Manafort was asked directly to confirm that Trump has no financial relationship with Russian oligarchs.

"That's what he said. That's what... that's obviously what our position is," Manafort said. But don't look for Trump to release his taxes to prove it.

Russia, while you're at it, will you please release Trump's tax returns?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/wp/2016/07/27/the-way-to-hurt-trump-is-to-ridicule-him/?wpisrc=nl_popns&wpmm=1

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press,” Donald Trump said, referring to messages deemed personal by Hillary Clinton and deleted from her private email server. To which Hillary Clinton replied, “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find Trumps tax returns and his several divorce settlements and his many non-disclosure agreements with former employees. What, Donald, can’t they disclose this?”

Of course, Clinton said no such thing. Instead, the consistently humorless campaign failed to treat Trump as a buffoon and instead issued a flat-footed rebuttal: “This has to be the first time that a major presidential candidate has actively encouraged a foreign power to conduct espionage against his political opponent,” Clinton’s senior policy adviser, Jake Sullivan, said in a statement. He added later: “This has gone from being a matter of curiosity, and a matter of politics, to being a national security issue.”

If we had all open primaries, how would we avoid the problem of people voting Democratic

just to support a particular candidate, and having no loyalty -- to the point of disrupting party processes -- when their preferred candidate doesn't win?

538: Trump is driving Catholic voters toward Clinton.

And Tim Kaine, practicing pro-choice Catholic, will help open the door even wider.

http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/trump-is-driving-catholic-voters-toward-clinton/

Donald Trump has held onto the support of evangelical Christians even as he has screwed up the name of a book of the Bible, said he doesn’t feel he needs forgiveness for anything, and struggled to answer the question that Jesus posed to Peter: “Who do you say that I am?” But, according to a recent report by Pew, Trump’s doing terribly with Catholic voters, particularly those who are regular churchgoers.

Catholics who attend Mass weekly have increased their support for the Democratic nominee by 22 percentage points relative to 2012. They support Hillary Clinton at about the same rate as fallen-away Catholics; even though among white, non-Hispanic Catholics, those who attend Mass less frequently are slightly more likely to be registered Democrats.

I hope Michael Bloomberg rips Trump on his fraudulent business practices.

Since the only thing Trump has to offer are his supposed business skills, he needs to be exposed. Bloomberg would be the perfect person to do that.

Don't let anyone tell you Tim Kaine is "anti-abortion." He is solidly PRO-CHOICE, with 100% rating

from Planned Parenthood and an A from NARAL.

Tim Kaine, like Joe Biden, Ted Kennedy, and many other Catholic Democrats, draws a firm line between his personal religious beliefs and his public position as a strong supporter of Roe v. Wade and a woman's right to choose.

By Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood action fund:

http://time.com/4423858/cecile-richards-tim-kaine-hillary-clinton/?xid=homepage

The last few years have been brutal for those of us who believe that women should be able to make their own health care decisions. States have passed hundreds of laws to make it harder to access safe and legal abortion, and Congress has tried repeatedly to block people from coming to Planned Parenthood for care.

Since 2012, I have had the opportunity to work with, and get to know, Senator Kaine. He has been an incredible ally in the Senate, as Planned Parenthood Action Fund has battled back against attacks on women’s ability to access birth control, repeated efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and attempts to block women from accessing care at Planned Parenthood health centers.

Senator Kaine has voted for equal pay legislation and pro-women’s health legislation while in the Senate. He has voted over and over to protect access to care at Planned Parenthood health centers for people who rely on public health programs. And in the most recent stalemate with the Republican-led Congress, Senator Kaine fought for greater family planning resources to address the looming threat of the Zika virus in the United States.

In every one of these battles, Senator Kaine has been resolute and strong, and his voting record has earned him a 100% rating from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund. Senator Kaine has long held personal beliefs about abortion, but he does not impose those personal beliefs on public policy. He understands that personal decisions about pregnancy and whether or when to have children belong to women — not politicians.
