Does anyone else here play Portal 2?

I think Portal 2 is the best puzzle game ever.

Anyway, I was just reading this from The Washington Post:

----------------------------

As the FBI continues an investigation of Trump's top associates and as he reportedly considers a White House staff shake-up, the president's attorneys have urged him to lay off his habit of aggressive and impulsive tweeting — lest it make matters even worse for him.

So what did Trump do upon returning to his embattled White House? He went on a Twitter rant, of course.

----------------------------

When I read that I couldn't help thinking of Cave Johnson:

----------------------------
"The lab boys just informed me that I should not have mentioned the control group. They're telling me I oughtta stop making these pre-recorded messages. That gave me an idea: make more pre-recorded messages. I pay the bills here, I can talk about the control group all damn day."

----------------------------

Maybe someone can talk Trump into ingesting some ground-up moon rocks.

Fox News reinforces their image with "Liberals Focus On 'Islamophobia' While Christians Are Killed"

And no, I didn't read the article and don't intend to. If you want to see it, do a search.

Readers around the world are presumed to know that "Dublin" is a small San Francisco suburb.

Headline: "Accident at Dublin water park"

Some people just don't seem to realize how big the world is, and that the "World Wide Web" is exactly that.

My Take on Trump's "War Room"

Did I get it right? Any suggestions?

What's the difference between liberals and conservatives? I've never seen it summed up so clearly!

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/autocrats-hear-a-clear-message-during-trump-trip-us-will-not-lecture-on-human-rights/2017/05/22/1c7328b4-3f0c-11e7-8c25-44d09ff5a4a8_story.html

In search of bigger deals on combating terrorism and curbing Iran’s influence in the region, Trump made it clear during his weekend speech in Saudi Arabia that the United States would not allow human rights concerns to bog down cooperation with authoritarian governments.

“We are not here to lecture,” Trump said Sunday before an audience of about 50 political leaders of Muslim nations, many of which are lead by strongmen. “We are not here to tell other people how to live, what to do, who to be or how to worship. Instead, we are here to offer partnership, based on shared interests and values.”

How Donald Trump is benefiting from 'Donald Trump fatigue'

http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/22/politics/donald-trump-conflicts/

When I was younger a friend and I drove from Miami to Kissimmee, saw Disney World, saw Epcot Center, and drove back to Miami, all in one day.

I don't remember a bit of it.

And that's what it's like trying to keep up with the news these days. The similarity is that both are overwhelming, the difference is that the news is all bad.

Just in case you haven't already seen it, here's an important message from our president:

https://mobile.twitter.com/AlexMLeo/status/763028825391456256

Look, having nuclear—my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart—you know, if you're a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I'm one of the smartest people anywhere in the world—it's true!—but when you're a conservative Republican they try—oh, do they do a number—that's why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune—you know I have to give my, like, credentials all the time, because we're a little disadvantaged—but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me—it would have been so easy, and it's not as important as these lives are (nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what's going to happen and he was right—who would have thought?), but when you look at what's going on with the four prisoners—now it used to be three, now it's four—but when it was three and even now, I would have said it's all in the messenger, fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don't, they haven't figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so you know, it's gonna take them about another 150 years—but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us.

This was during a campaign stop in South Carolina and we can assume that Trump was a bit tired, maybe exhausted, from the campaign. But since then he's clearly experienced a steady decline, and the overseas trip is likely to be taxing him even more than the campaign. One can only wonder what the folks overseas are hearing and how much worse it'll get before it's time for Trump to come home.

Donald Trump just staked his presidency on 4 words

Donald Trump just staked his presidency on 4 words

Washington (CNN) At a joint news conference with Colombian President Juan Manual Santos Thursday, President Donald Trump was asked a very simple question: Had he urged then-FBI Director James Comey to slow or stop an FBI investigation into deposed national security adviser Michael Flynn?

"No. No. Next question," Trump responded.

It was over in a flash. But in those four words, Trump staked the viability of his presidency. Why? Because he directly contradicted the reporting around a memo that Comey had written in the wake of a February 14 meeting in which Trump told him to see if he could find a way to end the Flynn investigation, The New York Times first reported and CNN confirmed.

Both of those things can't be true.

----------------------------------------------

But wait, maybe he meant "No. No. I don't want to answer that. Next question."
