Paul Krugman - "... this is what modern Republicans do; this is who they are."

Understanding Republican Cruelty

In short, Paul Krugman says "I think there are two big drivers — actually, two big lies — behind Republican cruelty on health care and beyond."

His first reason is that they hate Barack Obama and his second is that they hate the poor, whom they characterize as lazy people who don’t want to work.

But I suspect a third, and perhaps primary, driver is that they serve the rich people who finance their campaigns and who expect and demand profitable returns on those investments. Like Sarah Huckabee Sanders, or (deleted due to an attempt to distract from the topic), they throw honesty and common sense to the wind and offer what they hope are the most effective arguments to serve their employers' interests, because that's what they're paid to do.

Maybe I'm way off base on this, but if not, I wonder why Paul Krugman didn't mention it.

It would be best if government kept its nose completely out of religion as the First Amendment requires, but we all know that had nothing to do with Trump's decision to ignore Ramadan.

I have just one a simple question:

If it really was a hoax, how could Trump possibly know it?

He also complained that the Obama administration didn't do enough to stop the interference. It's yet another case of "I didn't put no bullet in the furnace and stop talking about my mother!" (a two-part argument that contradicts itself)

We should be thankful for Trump's tweets because they give us a such vivid view of what goes on inside his mind.

The "Dems" want to stop tax cuts for the rich, healthcare that you yourself called "mean", and a border security policy that's equally mean.

And Karen H doesn't want to have anything to do with you because she knows your endorsement is pure poison.

Question: Why doesn't the Fifth Amendment prevent Bill Cosby from being tried again?

I've always assumed the point was to prevent the government from trying over and over again until the defendant eventually runs out of resources and loses.
