The fear of death and hell is used by bigots because it is easy. We all die and being afraid of death is common in the majority of human beings. If a bigoted sociopath has an agenda to promote and needs sheeple to follow the fear of the unknown is a gold mine of opportunity.
The Messiah that was manifested in the 'spirit' of the sixties Love Movement was crucified by the
right wing and the ambivalence of society. The true followers who are witness to it's resurrection and keep the spirit alive. They have seen the spirit walk and have touched the bloody hands resulting from it's Crucifixion. Therefore the word love that was the spirit was dead yet therefore it lives.
This sounds overly dramatic but torture, murder and neglect of the unhealthy and poor is also dramatic.
GWB's legacy continues to do damage to the nation to the point it is no longer recognizable as a
democratic republic. Theocratic corporate fascism is what we live under and the Constitution may as well be physically shredded as it has already been shredded as an ideal and statement of rights and laws. The blundering yet helpful idiot to the power mongers, GWB, has used war, fear and death to accomplish it's downfall. I'm totally cynical now. Voting does nothing but set up candidates with good ideas and intentions to be led to a veritable mind fuck of a slaughter of their will, by the greed infested power hungry gate keepers of social acceptance. Political activism in this country has been marginalize to the point of being nothing more than a curiosity. Small steps and "gives" have been allowed as to make it seem to the masses that things are changing but things that change are more to the extent of issues that will enhance the bottom line of the 1%. The rights of We The People are dead as a concept and the powerful know it. They do not want to make it seem as such. If people did realized that thieves have stolen their future by gaming the system and bastardizing the past to their advantage I think there would be a change. A quick change. A change that would rock the world of the 1%.
But, all is well as long as we keep watching celebrities compete for wealth from the comfort from our collective couches we know in our hearts that "some day" we can be famous and wealthy too.
K&R!! What disturbs me are the liberal pundits and comedians who poo poo this fact.
Saying we are alarmists. We are being slowly boiled, slowly choked. The is a definite goal. Financial elitists always have a "business model" and on a global scale it is to have the majority become enslaved to a system of finance and rules that supplant any constitutional ideas with a model of modern corporate fascism that will mimic human rights to the point that convinces people they actually have rights. History is showing the people are fighting this war battle by battle in the streets and courts. I am not young and I fear people in the future will read about how the battles were lost and the "system" has prevailed. That is, if people are even allowed to read about it. The battles are so under reported presently to the point that people are lulled into complacency. That is a big part of the business model leading to theocratic corporate fascism. People are dancing down the yellow brick road wishing they could just tap their heels and go back to the human rights ideals that took thousands of years for mankind to mentally evolve to. The Magna Charta, the US Constitution and other documents that represent human rights were high points in that evolution. Now the concept of greed has evolved to the point it is threatened by the ideals of human rights.
So...there is no racism? The voting rights act should be ended? Blame minorities and the poor?
I've been on the face of the earth for a long time. Nothing has 'really' changed. Having a black president means nothing to the corporate fascists who own and steer society. For the powerful it's just window dressing. Their mantra is to let the people have their shiny objects and throw them a bone once in a while. Until the powerful corporately controlled politicians and overlords of the economy are taken down a notch or two dog whistle racism and bigotry will reign supreme. Bullying is more than something that happens in elementary school or high school. Some bullies grow up and bully themselves into powerful positions because no one has the guts to take them down.
I think the time has come.
To me the drone decision proves the powerful protect each other without regard to the less powerful.
To say it is OK to target and murder any citizen the federal government deems a terrorist without trial basically negates anything else the criminal Bush family has done to destroy the Constitution. There is a reason Bush, Cheney and Rice were not prosecuted. The powerful protect the powerful without regard to the less powerful. Apparently nothing has changed throughout the history of mankind and nothing will without an upheaval, revolution or outright defiance by the people being oppressed.
To turn this on it's head. The less powerful must protect each other without regard to the more powerful or the less powerful become nothing more than a meat machines that generate labor and money to make the powerful more so.
The moment the twin towers were hit I knew it was Bin Laden simply because of the blowing up
of up the giant twin Buddhas and a report on Frontline long before it happened. The powers that be are only fooling the fools that only know how to follow.
The deck is stacked. We are enslaved by what we are allowed to consume and fed by corporations and their employed minions who spoon feed the masses the money making shiny objects and fads of the moment. The staples of life will soon be totally controlled by mega businesses like Con Agra and Monsanto who will own the very seed for the food we eat and have it produced by slave labor in other countries. There is a fight right now to save the family farm. The bio industries are trade marking common genes and dna at this moment.
Knowledge is power and resistance is the weapon. We have to use the only power we have or some day even resistance will be futile.
Marco Rubio said that what the President did would not stop Sandy Hook. How does he know?
If certain types of firearms are less available and some folks cannot obtain guns then that creates a 'less' chance of murders happening. Rubio is mathematically challenged. If there is a massacre of 50 people and a regulation prevents one death or injury it is worth it. The status quo is what is killing people. Doing nothing is not the answer. What the President has done is a start. There will be more murders today in the USA. The next mass killing will be a definite nail in the coffin of the loons running the NRA and Gun Owners of America. Maybe they should join Glenn Beck in his Libertarian Utopia land.

These pricks do not give one rats rear end about human beings. I don't give a crap if they have damn families to support they do not care about anything but money, their status in life and the enjoyment of looking down their noses at anyone beneath them. These are the types of vermin who need to be separated from society because they have created the very poverty that kills people through famine, disease and degradation. They make money from screwing people over and death. There is a direct connection between the hording world money mongers and the damage that has been done to human lives throughout the world. Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and JP Morgan pay lobbyists and PR firms to spread the propaganda that what I and others are saying is the slippery slope to socialism or, God forbid, communism.
It's high time The United States moved out of the dark world of primitive tribal control of the masses and into the world of caring about the masses of human life involved. We are letting these greedy criminals get by with slaps on the wrist. They need to be brought to their knees. There are plenty of intelligent people who have empathy for human beings who are willing to take their place.
Just because a financial CEO and it's board have made money screwing people over for years and that's the norm, does not mean they can't be brought down, possibly prosecuted, jailed and replaced. There has to be a financial paradigm shift for that to happen.
Either that or the people need to rise up with an Uber-OWS that has leaders and consequences if there are no results. That would take courage. I think there is still courage in this country. That is one thing the greedy cretins cannot own.
