My Covid experience update

I’ve had no symptoms for 3 days — only had minor runny nose and eyes Day 1 then coughing Day 2 — it’s been uphill from there.

My reason for sharing this is I have been quarantined for a week and testing daily. Even though my symptoms are gone I still tested positive today.

Even though guidelines say it’s okay to go out after 5 days if symptom free I’m waiting for a negative test because, of course, it’s not just about me.

Anybody read Caste by Isabel Wilkerson?

I’m 1/3 through it and I have no words to describe the breadth of coverage on the issues of dominance and discrimination.

Everybody knows slavery was brutal, and I’m familiar with the obvious financial gains, but the author’s account of enslaved women's forced breeding (and rape by masters) to increase the labor capacity and thus wealth of owners was eye opening. Even the nomenclature of the environs referring to literal labor camps as genteel “plantations” and the accompanying imagery is thought provoking. I like, too, that the author juxtaposes the American plight on the similar circumstances of other groups like the people of India, Jews and Native Americans. There’s so much to unpack and I’m nowhere near through.

Of course, I just looked at reviews on Amazon and the CRT “activists” call this a bunch of hogwash. They can go to hell. This should be required reading.

My Covid experience

Got home Saturday night feeling a little run down and sniffly after a week long road trip. The lymph nodes behind my ear / side of my neck were kind of pulsing and my throat tingled a little. But no fever. Took a home test Sat. night—negative.

Sunday, constantly runny nose and watery eyes took a second test and it lit up like a Christmas tree. Positive.

Then, lots of coughing at night; extremely stuffy nose—more than I can ever remember but it subsided once I drank fluids and moved around. Also I can’t smell or taste when it is stopped up. It was really hard to breathe in or out of my nose at one point though and I shudder to think what breathing would be like if I wasn’t vaccinated and boosted once.

This affirms to me that all of the “colds” that seem so prevalent right now aren’t just colds. I haven’t had a cold in at least 5 years. I followed up with a second test. I had friends tell me I was being overly cautious. Most people see the negative result and accept it at face value. I have since gotten two positives at home. I was told by the dr. today that home tests are prone to false negatives but that two positives is pretty valid.

Contacted my primary for paxlovid because even though my symptoms are mild idk if they’ll stay that way. However, further checking shows the drug has undesirable side effects and interactions and I’m in a quandary as to whether to take by tomorrow’s deadline or ride out the mild symptoms.

Also I’m constantly astounded at people that I am okay with until politics are involved. I texted a contact who replied telling me I should read RFK Jr’s book “The Real Dr. Fauci”. (Jesus. H. Christ. WTAF is wrong with people?!)

If the "MSM" won't acknowledge MAGAt wrongdoing

aren’t they actually the RWM?

How come we don’t use words as carefully as they do.

Call it what it is.

1/6 Hearings: The Secret Service wouldn't LET TFG go to the attack

As if he had any intention of going.

His statement that he was going was incendiary.

Did Hutchinson and known liar Mckanenny cover for him on this point during their testimonies?

MS among least educated made them a prime target

for today’s act by the Supreme Court.

“Mississippi has a score of 25.18. As the second-least educated state, it ranks 49th for Educational Attainment and 44th for Quality of Education. Mississippi has the third-lowest share of high school diploma holders at 84.5%, the second-lowest share of Bachelor's degree holders, and the fifth-lowest share of both people with associate's degrees or college experience and graduate degree holders.”

Supreme Court injects itself conveniently distracting from hearings

First they “leaked”now it’s gun rights.

I call bullshit.

The more incriminating the evidence the more attention swirling around the Court in coinciding timelines. They haven’t been this focused on such explosive issues in such a short time period ever that I recall.

Ken Griffin (Citadel and Richard Irving financier)

News announced he’s written a statement that he’s moving Citadel headquarters to Miami citing crime and a more amenable business environment in FL.

I guess his “investment” in Irving isn’t paying off.

An experienced worker quits the election process. To be replaced by who?

A less experienced person for sure. Biden may have won but America loses when this is not fixed.
