State regulators say at least 84,000 gallons of water contaminated with oil and chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing spilled from a broken well-head in a field about 4 miles north of Windsor.
A mechanical failure at about 9:30 a.m. Monday sent a smelly stream of steaming, greenish fluid onto soil and required fire trucks testing air every 30 minutes to ensure leaking natural gas was not about to explode and the use of a vacuum truck to try to suck up the liquid, state natural resources spokesman Todd Hartman said.

“I’m Tired of Pulling Bullets Out of Kids”
Hardly a week goes by when I dont see what a bullet can do to a human body, said Coroner Michael Doberson. The most devastating wounds Ive seen have been the result of high velocity rounds, like those fired by semiautomatic weapons like the AR-15.
These are basically military-style weapons that have been introduced into our civilian spaces, our streets, our shopping malls, our schools. These rounds have devastating effects on the human body, even when only one strikes. Can you imagine what happens when multiple bullets are fired from one of these high-capacity magazines?
Well, I can.
