Gardner’s regional director was served with the paperwork, according to an attorney representing several protester.

Cut offs

So CNN and MSNBC showed the McConnell news conference, including short comments from members of republican "leadership", followed by a brief Q&A with reporters.

Then Schumer and his team arrived. Schumer spoke, then introduced Klobuchar. As she began her remarks, MSNBC cut away to hear from their panel. Switched to CNN, and they cut away.

Switched to C-span2, and as Klobuchar was speaking they cut away to the senate floor to cover Cornyn's standard maundering about how every ill is the fault of Democrats.

WHAT THE HELL do Democrats have to do to get equal time?!

Once more with feeling: Liberal media bias, my ass!

NOW what?! (McConnell "news" conference)

WTF is Cornyn talking about, that Democrats are only interested in protecting insurance companies and raising taxes??

Gardner talking about spiking the football -- he's my alleged senator, and he's gone out of his way to avoid having any healthcare conversation with constituents. He has no fucking clue what we think, nor does he care.

McConnell is shitting out of his mouth as per usual.

Snake in Johnstown equipment knocks out power for 6,500 people late Monday night

...
About 6,500 people were affected by a power outage that lasted from 9:36 p.m. to 11:44 p.m. Monday night, said Michelle Aguayo, spokeswoman for Xcel Energy. The outage left people in Loveland, Johnstown, Milliken and Platteville without power, and it all began when a snake found its way into some equipment in a fenced off area at a Johnstown substation, Aguayo said.

Front Range Fire Rescue Chief Ron Bateman said crews responded to the substation about 9:39 p.m., near the intersection of Colo. 60 and Weld County Road 19, in between Johnstown and Milliken. By the time they got there, Bateman said, the snake had made its way 12 feet off the ground and its movements in the equipment had caused a small fire. He said firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze without much trouble.

"The snake didn't fare so well," he said. Bateman said it wasn't immediately clear how exactly the snake caused the fire. "Mysteries remain," he added.

The real story of the failed Obamacare repeal: GOP cant handle the truth

The great lie of the long-running Obamacare debate has officially been revealed. The reason Republicans spent seven years without offering their own health care plan is that they don’t have one, they’ve never had one, and, the way it looks, they never will have one.

That’s because there is no plan that offers better coverage for less money. There is no plan that can pass muster with voters if it robs hundreds of billions from Medicaid and deposits that money into the hands of the most wealthy. There is no acceptable plan that doesn’t insure as many people as possible or cover pre-existing conditions or allows junk insurance policies to set lifetime caps.
...snip...

Four Republicans stepped up — three, we should add, for entirely wrong reasons — to block the bill from even being debated. I’m old enough to remember when you needed 60 votes to cut off debate in the Senate. Once again, mastermind Mitch McConnell couldn’t manage to get to 50.

In 1969

I was crossing the street too slowly for the guy behind me. He dealt with the situation by kicking my crutch away, causing me to faceplant on the pavement as he went on his merry way. Years later I’m wondering where Mitch McConnell was in 1969.
