My Ammosexual congresscritter

Yankee Doodle went to town riding on a pony.
Ken Buck (R) went to Congress with an AR-15.
Apparently, packing heat is a legislative must-do.

As Colorado Pols points out, the AR-15 and its 30-round magazine are illegal in D.C.

Just another day here in Frackland

The fire at a wastewater injection well site just northeast of the Greeley-Weld County Airport on Friday could mean a total loss at the facility, Greeley Fire Marshal Dale Lyman said.

About 1:15 p.m., a lightning bolt struck a water storage tank at the C4 facility east of the airport, causing a series of explosions and a fire that went on into the evening. After keeping it contained much of the day, firefighters began attack operations to extinguish the blaze about 5:30 p.m. Lyman said they had much of it knocked down about half an hour later. By 6:45 p.m. the fire was out. ...

Here in Weld County we have over 20,000 wells. This is just one in a continuing series of incidents.

On radio, RMGO’s Brown talks as if he owns the GOP Senate majority

XP from GD

(Note: This is about Colorado, but this man's organization has had dire impact on our state politics; and it can be argued that his influence is, to some degree, helpful in increasing the number of wingnuts from Colorado that show up in DC, thus spreading the poison to wider audiences.)

---snip----

...Brown talked as if he has more of a right to interfere in gun legislation at the state Capitol than the Independence Institute has because RMGO bought and paid for the state GOP Senate majority. And he went on about it, implying he’d organize primaries against five Republicans who voted against a violation of state Senate rules yesterday.

----snip----

"It’s our organization and our PAC that spent the money to elect the legislature and take the Senate from the Democrats. We were the biggest funders of Republican candidates in the last election. Far bigger than the NRA."

----snip----

This is the guy who engineered the state senate recalls, with the cooperation of a number of our sheriffs (including one who is now a member of the senate). Gives me the willies knowing that I live scant miles from this creep.
