Pelosi is wrong.
Or maybe she's just being too polite. Nancy Pelosi just said that Republicans are in denial when it comes to the realities associated with unemployment insurance. They aren't in denial, they are in the thrall of avarice. They have placed their personal ambitions above the needs of those they pretend to serve; that's not denial, it's malfeasance.
My fuddyduddyness is showing.
There's just something about the almost-beard . . . it's kinda like the guy got stuck somewhere in between "Hey, Mom, I hit puberty!" and "Sorry, the DTs make it too dangerous to hold a razor." That goes for Blitzer, too.

Way back when I was in elementary school there were always playground bullies who liked to make life miserable for the rest of us. The upside was the certain knowledge that those bullies would be dealt with by the school authorities. Fast forward to the present wherein the playground bullies have been replaced by the oil and gas industry, and the authorities are now protecting them against those who dont like being abused. The absurdity of this development is compounded by the cruel indifference with which it is delivered. Its a horrible thing when your local government tells you that you simply do not matter.
