Shared this yesterday from a different source; there were complaints about the facebook link. Happily, the senator's comments were picked up by the BBC.

Went to Snopes, typed in a query. All that happened was that it repeated the query. No info given. Tried three or four times, same non-result.
Anyone else having that problem?
Went for a quick run to the grocery store, wound up running into someone I hadn't seen for a while. We went and got a bite to eat and visited for a while. By the time I got home "the interview" was long over.
So did I miss anything important?
Yeppers, our county assemblies were today. In Weld County, Republicans and Democrats convened at separate locations and had pretty much the same attendance. But you'd never know that by reading the Greeley Tribune. This is the event reportage that greets readers, and no, there is no article about the Democrats' gathering. Yes, the paper is routinely accused of being a "liberal rag".
This morning there is an article about the Democrats' assembly. Unlike the GOP article, it has only one photo. It also lacks the candidate profiles that were part of the other article, and the thing is less than half the length and none of the depth of the other.
Amusing that both articles carry the same "date", given that the first appeared a good twelve hours before the second was added in the middle of the night.
In addition to the marches, our Democratic county assemblies are happening today. Health issues are preventing my attendance at either, and I am definitely not happy about that. So, I'm at home watching these very impressive young people, and wishing to the depths of my soul that we hadn't forced them to have to march.
If we really are the greatest nation on earth, why do our children have to take to the streets to beg for their lives?
