For those who say there is no difference ---
Harry Reid was a good man. We may not have always understood his actions, but there was never any hint of malice, never any doubt that he respected the citizens of the country he clearly loved. As Senate Majority Leader he wielded the powers of his office like a master craftsman, always striving to sculpt a better government for the people.
And none of the foregoing will ever be said of Mitch McConnell.

Question re recording music from instrument
My recently acquired Lowrey Jubilee organ has recording capability, with a slot to receive a floppy disk. So, once I locate some blank floppies, how would I go about transferring the recordings to thumb drives or other devices? My laptop doesn't take floppies, so I'm kinda stuck. Experience? Suggestions?
As always, thanks in advance!

UPDATE: Getting lots of helpful information, not surprising with this group, thank you! That said, it's still a bit daunting for this "non-techy" old lady. A friend suggested that I contact the music department at the university, ask if there's a student who might be willing to put eyes and maybe hands on the organ. So, I will be doing that. And, yes, I will let everyone here know how that turns out. Thanks again, so much!

Okay, that was weird...
Texting back and forth with a friend, this message pops into the conversation:

Neither one of us sent it.
Any ideas?

MSNBC, you're drunk, go home.
Trying to watch the rerun of Maddow, but the audio and video are totally out of whack with each other. Can either watch or listen, but not at the same time. Yeesh.

Some Christmas cards showed up in my snailmail box. Not surprising, given the season. On one of them the return address showed the sender to be an old friend from high school days, but it was addressed to the apartment I moved out of nearly three years ago. There was no yellow forwarding sticker, nothing scratched out, no writing indicating 'not at this address'.
In this neighborhood, in a city where 98% of elected positions are held by GOPers, our letter carriers want us to know that they are no fans of their ultimate boss; unlike their counterparts at FedEx and UPS, they have no trouble bringing parcels to my door. And at the post office, the counter help is unfailingly courteous and thorough (even when they are understaffed).
So, here's to my letter carriers, and to all of them who still do their best in spite of the guy at the top. Thank you!

A lovely summer day...
It's a lovely summer day here on the plains of Colorado, sunshine and 63° on December 21st.
This global warming hoax is starting to get on my nerves.
