Former presidents enjoy continuing protection from the Secret Service. In Trump's case, are those protectors housed at a Mar a Lago? Is the money for their accommodation still going into his pocket? If so, how much is he continuing to profit from his former office?

Huck huckstering

It happens every time I see that Mike Huckabee commercial where he's pitching the comically named "Relaxium". I have to reach for a bottle of Regurgium. Because Huckabee.

Meanwhile, at the local Safeway yesterday . . .

The lines for the self-checkout stations extended across the main aisle and down the length of two food aisles. Two check stands (with checkers, mind you) were open, and I tucked the motorized cart into what looked like the shorter line. After a bit, they opened a third line to process purchases. When they finished bagging my order I headed for the exit and noticed, as I went by, that the self-checkout lines hadn't moved at all; a couple of employees were fussing with the machines trying to get them going, while the lines of shoppers were both visibly and audibly annoyed.

Meanwhile, out in the parking lot, the handicap space closest to the door was still occupied by a huge lifted pickup without handicap plates, and if there was a hang tag it was invisible behind the dark tinted windows.
However, clearly visible was the enormous set of truck nuts (we're talking softball size) dangling from the rear bumper. Sometimes you just don't want to know.

There are reports that Putin fell down some stairs causing him to soil himself.

We have six SCOTUS justices who don't need stairs to achieve that outcome, and they're quite smug about it.
