Hawley, author?

Josh Hawley’s book on manhood will be almost as relevant as a kindergartener’s PHD dissertation on education.

Well expressed. But.

As much as we admire and appreciate her rigorous determination to bring Trump to justice, we cannot ignore the reality that this is her ONLY departure from the party. In every other respect, she remains an adherent of the party’s policies and practices, including those that paved the way for Trump’s ascendancy. Her singular target is Trump — not the engineered mechanisms that brought him, protected him, and spread the toxicity to legislatures and courts around the country. It is profoundly significant that, in this new century, Trump is the second Republican president to take office having lost the popular vote; and unless we fix that broken door, the next to walk through it will be even worse. Liz has expressed no interest in making that correction; and, given her heritage, she’s not likely to. If we don’t back off from canonizing her, we will prove to be as gullible and stupid as her party thinks we are.

Don't know how, but if I could ---

Instead of funny music, I'd take that running Hawley GIF and attach a squeal to it, like a baby pig makes, y'know?

Probably a good thing I don't know how to do such things . . .

Apropos of nothing relevant . . .

Watched the hearing on PBS, then switched over to MSNBC for their followup. And looking at that set, I kept expecting the Rockettes soldiers to march out with elves and reindeer. Gotta wonder who thought that was a good idea.

Anyhoo.

Ya just never know.

Had a meeting with the gastro doc, just setting up the appointment for the routine scoping. She came in, sat down, and was reviewing my chart when I complained about being taken off popcorn. Without missing a beat, she looked at me over her glasses, smiled and said, "So, I take it you're watching the hearings?"

Heh.

Oxygen equipment issues . . .

I've been a customer of Lincare for about twenty years, getting all of my oxygen supplies through them. But their service level has been declining for quite some time, now. They closed the local office, sending a letter explaining that the move would "help us to better serve you," never mind that the nearest office is now some 40 miles away. So, gone are the days when I could drop in to get cannulas or a new regulator.

Just spent nearly an hour on the phone with them trying to sort out some issues with concentrator and bi-pap. She was polite, but it seemed as though she had no idea what I was talking about. She said I'd have to get my doctor to re-order all my machines. Huh? So, I called my pulmonologist's office and explained the situation to the nurse, and she was as surprised as me. Now, I wait.

Has anyone else had problems with Lincare?
