Hitler Finds Out Trump Supports Amnesty

Most of these "Hitler Finds Out" videos are weak, but this brutally mocks the racist-swine "alt-right" and Der Drumpenfuhrer.

Trump Hires Breitbart Chief For Top Post, Diminishes Manafort Role In Shakeup

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/trump-hires-breitbart-chief-campaign-shakeup

Donald Trump is shaking up his senior campaign staff yet again in the wake of several weeks of sinking poll numbers and critical press coverage of his gaffes from the trail.

Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon will “temporarily step down from his role with Breitbart News” to join the team as the campaign CEO, while Republican strategist Kellyanne Conway will be promoted to campaign manager.

The Wall Street Journal first broke the news about the staff changes on Tuesday, which the Trump campaign confirmed in a statement sent out in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.

“I have known Steve and Kellyanne both for many years,” Trump said in the statement. “They are extremely capable, highly qualified people who love to win and know how to win.”

Coming This Fall: The Sublime Revenge Of Barack Obama

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/richard-north-patterson/coming-this-fall-the-subl_b_10925030.html

...In the wake of the slaughter in Orlando, Trump shamed himself by spewing self-congratulations combined with demagoguery, lies, and practical and moral idiocy — scapegoating Syrian refugees and every Muslim abroad; suggesting that American Muslims at large were complicit in terror; labeling Obama’s careful effort to distinguish between Terrace and all Muslims as weak; and, perhaps most loathsome, questioning the president’s loyalty.

With palpable contempt, Obama eviscerated all this. He then reminded us that “we don’t have religious tests here” and that “we’ve seen our government mistreat our fellow citizens, and that has been a shameful part of our history.” And, by doing so, he reminded us of the ways in which Donald Trump would not only undermine our security, but our values.

But that response was the grim duty of a president faced with tragedy. At the Democratic convention, we got a glimpse of how Obama will eviscerate Trump — for the emptiness of the man, and the stunted prism through which he views America. And after Trump demeaned the Khan family, Obama used the moral authority of his office to challenge Trump’s fitness to hold it.

Come the fall, Barack Obama will be free to mount an argument in his own time and way, giving everything he has to make sure that the next president embraces, not destroys, the values he has brought to the office. And, by doing this, he will exact his well-earned reprisal on Donald Trump, dispatching him from public life with the back of his hand.

Let's play a game of "Who made this statement?" re: Trump's Economic Plan

No Googling, please!

Well I don’t think Mr. Trump’s plan is going to work very well. I don’t think we need that tax cut when we’re running deficits the size we are running. I think the evidence that tax cuts stimulate business in any kind of meaningful way, at least not sufficient to overcome the tax revenue loss, is extremely poor to put it mildly. I think the idea of cutting taxes on the rich in a time when there is so much concern about inequality is not a good idea...

UPDATE-The jig is up! It was Ben Friggin' Stein, and he said it on Faux Newz!

Here's the original quote, which had some anti-environment rubbish tacked on the end.
BEN STEIN: Well I don’t think Mr. I think the idea of cutting taxes on the rich in a time when there is so much concern about inequality is not a good idea. I do think his idea of greatly lessening environmental regulation is absolutely necessary, even brilliant and very brave of him.

A neuroscientist explains what may be wrong with Trump supporters’ brains

http://www.rawstory.com/2016/08/a-neuroscientist-explains-what-may-be-wrong-with-trump-supporters-brains/

Summary- Ill informed/stupid, easily spooked, look at the shiny object.

Studies have shown that people who lack expertise in some area of knowledge often have a cognitive bias that prevents them from realizing that they lack expertise. As psychologist David Dunning puts it in an op-ed for Politico, “The knowledge and intelligence that are required to be good at a task are often the same qualities needed to recognize that one is not good at that task — and if one lacks such knowledge and intelligence, one remains ignorant that one is not good at the task. This includes political judgment.” Essentially, they’re not smart enough to realize they’re dumb.

Science has unequivocally shown that the conservative brain has an exaggerated fear response when faced with stimuli that may be perceived as threatening. A classic study in the journal Psychophysiology found that conservatives have a stronger physiological reaction to startling noises and graphic images compared to liberals. A brain-imaging study published in Current Biology revealed that those who lean right politically tend to have a larger amygdala — a structure that is electrically active during states of fear and anxiety. And a 2014 fMRI study found that it is possible to predict whether someone is a liberal or conservative simply by looking at their brain activity while they view threatening or disgusting images, such as mutilated bodies. Specifically, the brains of self-identified conservatives generated more activity overall in response to the disturbing images.

Terror Management Theory predicts that when people are reminded of their own mortality, which happens with fear mongering, they will more strongly defend those who share their worldviews and national or ethnic identity, and act out more aggressively towards those who do not. Hundreds of studies have confirmed this hypothesis, and some have specifically shown that triggering thoughts of death tends to shift people towards the right.

Essentially, the loyalty of Trump supporters may in part be explained by America’s addiction with entertainment and reality TV. To some, it doesn’t matter what Trump actually says because he’s so amusing to watch. With Donald, you are always left wondering what outrageous thing he is going to say or do next. He keeps us on the edge of our seat, and for that reason, some Trump supporters will forgive anything he says. They are happy as long as they are kept entertained.

Republicans Are Going To Flip Out Over Nate Silver’s Latest Polling Figures

http://samuel-warde.com/2016/08/republicans-going-flip-nate-silvers-latest-polling-figures/

Any way he looks at the figure, Nate Silver shows Hillary Clinton running away with the election.

The Polls-only forecast shows Clinton winning 66.1% to 33.9%; the Polls-plus shows little change with Clinton taking 65.4% to 34.6%.

AND the Now-cast shows Clinton annihilating Trump by a margin of 83.5% to 16.5%.

Silver’s current figures also show Clinton winning the popular vote by a margin of 48.1% to 42.6% with Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson receiving approximately 7.9%. No figures were displayed for Green Party candidate Jill Stein.
