Bernie picks his battles. Attacking him about reparations actually helps him
as it shows him to be a leader who picks his battles and one not willing to pander, promising the moon and the stars to a demographic whose support he needs.
Camp Weathervane and the rest of the Establishment want desperately to frame Bernie as a pie-in-the-sky idealist but that is not what Bernie is. Bernie is fighting for what every other developed country has and that is universal health care. Given that every other developed country has been able to institute universal health care than it's not a pie-in-the-sky goal.
Frankly it's insulting to everyone's intelligence that people like Obama and Hillary who don't support reparations attack Bernie for not supporting it. Their motivation to find something, anything with which to attack Bernie is so apparent that it's laughable.
When Hillary was a senator what did she specifically do to improve lives of African Americans?
I'm interested to know what she did that accounts for the apparent loyalty of AA voters.
When I look at Bernie's record I see he has fought tirelessly and achieved much for veterans so the the loyalty of vets for Bernie is understandable. What can Hillary point to that is comparable. I don't see it. Am I missing something?
The timing of Bloomberg's mullings becoming public makes this story reek of skullduggery
between him and the DLC and/or camp weathervane.
If Bloomberg were serious about running why announce it now when his best chance to win according the FT is to run against Sanders. Wouldn't it be better for him to stay silent and let Sanders win one, two or three primaries and by doing so let Hillary be revealed as a weak candidate, unworthy of the nomination?
If he has a real chance at the presidency why would an ambitious guy like him give Hillary help securing the nomination?
