Romney Hailed as Regular Guy by Woman with Horse in Olympics : Borowitz

TAMPA (The Borowitz Report)—On the opening night of the 2012 Republican National Convention, the Presidential nominee Mitt Romney received fulsome praise for being a “regular, down-to-earth guy” from his wife, Ann, whose dressage horse, Rafalca, competed in the London Olympics.
“Mitt has never let his success go to his head,” Mrs. Romney said. “Take away the seven-thousand-square-foot house in La Jolla and the bank account in the Caymans, he’s still the same fun-loving boy who pinned a gay kid to the ground and cut off his hair.”

Mrs. Romney adopted an intimate tone as she attempted to describe “the Mitt only I know.”

“Every now and then, Mitt will give me this devilish smile of his, and I know that can only mean one thing,” she said, flushing slightly. “He just fired someone.”

In a small flub that many delegates found endearing, Mrs. Romney said, “Mitt Romney is like you or me—he puts his pants on one leg at a time. Oh, wait. He has a fellow who does that for him. My bad.”

But the nominee’s wife brought the convention audience to its feet with her closing endorsement of her husband: “I promise you that if you elect Mitt President of the United States, he will never give less than thirteen per cent.”

Google Street View now has tours of ancient Mexican monuments

Google is expanding its Street View offerings to include dozens of 360-degree photo tours of ancient Mexican monuments such as Teotihuacan, Chichen Itza and Palenque.

The additions are aimed at helping Mexico "open a window to the world, to encourage physical visits to the pre-Hispanic sites and thus in turn benefit cultural tourism," Miguel Angel Alva, director of marketing for Google Mexico, said this week in an announcement from Mexico's National Institute of Anthropology and History, or INAH.

Google collected the all-around views by having riders pedal camera-equipped tricycles around the Mexican sites, with INAH's cooperation. INAH said the photo project started two years ago. Thirty sites have been added to Google Street View so far, with the aim of having more than 80 sites online by the end of the year. Eventually, all 189 of the archaeological sites under INAH's custody will be cataloged, the institute said.

Leader of Army Plot Attended the 2008 Republican Convention as a Page

saac Aguigui, the Army private and alleged ringleader of a plot to assassinate Barack Obama and "take over" Ft. Stewart in Georgia, apparently served as a page at the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minnesota. That's his mug shot after he was arrested for the alleged murder of Pvt. Michael Roark on the left. At right is a 2008 Reuters photo with the caption: "Republican National Convention page Isaac Aguigui watches from the edge of the floor at the start of the first session of the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota September 1, 2008."

Of course, there could be two Isaac Aguiguis who look startlingly alike. Aguigui, according to Georgia prosecutors, financed a plot to kill the president, take over Ft. Stewart and poison apple orchards in Washington state with a $500,000 insurance settlement he got last year after his wife's death. The group—its numbers are unknown—called itself F.E.A.R., for Forever Enduring, Always Ready.

Aguigui is one of four soldiers charged in Roark's death, allegedly because he was a "loose end" who threatened to foil their plans. According to the AP, Aguigui and his compatriots bore "distinctive tattoos that resemble an anarchy symbol," but that's the extent of the reporting thus far on their political motives.

GOP Convention To Feature Strong Lineup Of Conservative Women Listeners

TAMPA, FL—On the eve of the Republican National Convention, GOP officials have announced that the three-day event will feature a solid, all-star lineup of the party’s most prominent female listeners.

“A veritable who’s who of conservative women are scheduled to stand on the convention floor and listen attentively to what each male speaker has to say about the major issues facing our country,” RNC communications director Sean Spicer said Monday, confirming that an impressive variety of blond, smiling women with perfectly maintained hair and jewelry will be on prominent display and seated near television cameras.

“I would say this is one of the most impressive rosters of dead-silent female Republicans wearing nice dresses that we’ve ever had at the convention.” Spicer also reassured convention-goers that the solid roster of women listeners had all been informed not to get in the way too much and, if possible, to show slightly more cleavage

Do you know what floating is?

Its a type of Mormon Sex practice at BYU.

I learned about it today after watching Larry Wilmore comedy special Race Religion and Sex. You know the official Black corespondent on the Daily Show.

He held the special in Salt Lake City. It was a pretty good funny show

I think it was on showtime, but I watched it online.

Monica Crowley Finds a Way To Politicize Neil Armstrong’s Death with Muslims and Obama

Did you know that Neil Armstrong’s recent death and Obama’s secret Muslim ties are totally relevant to each other? No? That’s probably because you don’t possess Fox News analyst Monica Crowley’s preternatural ability to politicize every single piece of news. Tonight, Crowley tweeted this:

As we remember Neil Armstrong, let's not forget that Obama changed part of @NASA's mission to do "Muslim outreach." #Really #WhatTheBleep

What the bleep indeed. In an apparent attempt to justify the tweet, Crowley then explained:

Monica Crowley@MonicaCrowley
FACT: "NASA chief says agency's goal is Muslim outreach, forgets to mention space" csmonitor.com/Science/2010/0…

FACT: The article to which Crowley cites specifically states:

In an interview last month on Al-Jazeera, NASA chief Charlie Bolden said that one of NASA’s foremost tasks is to engage with Muslim nations. The White House disagreed, suggesting that the agency should perhaps focus on space exploration.

The Armstrong Family asks that you honor Neil by:

“While we mourn the loss of a very good man, we also celebrate his remarkable life and hope that it serves as an example to young people around the world to work hard to make their dreams come true, to be willing to explore and push the limits, and to selflessly serve a cause greater than themselves.

For those who may ask what they can do to honor Neil, we have a simple request. Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink.”
