So, you are sitting there with a pair of deuces..(a very low poker hand)

There are two players left in the game. One looks like he has a flush. (a very high and). The other looks like he has a full house..(even higher than the fellow with a flush)..So, do you try to bluff the other two out, and try to make them think you have four of a kind (very rare, but higher than either a flush or full house)..Try to fool the other two so they leave the game and you win. Will that work? I doubt it. Don't you?

..That is what Trump is trying to do with this stupid "wall." He cannot win because the deal is so stupid. He thinks he knows how to make a "deal." His pair of deuces mean nothing, and he is stupid to think they will somehow beat the full house. The guy with the full house (3 of a kind plus 2 of a kind) is not going to fold on account of the bluff. And think of this. In a few days that guys poker hand somehow, because of some kind of miracle, automatically becomes a royal flush..(highest hand in poker, yes beats all other poker hands)....

So the guy with a pair of deuces is going to bluff the fellow with a royal flush?...There is an old expression, know when to hold them, and know when to fold em. Trump is not smart. He is stupid to risk it all on a pair of deuces against a full house. And not just stupid, very very stupid.

Here is some "Good News." Yes, it is real, there was an earthquake.."no casualties or damage.."

Source: Straightstimes

MANILA (REUTERS, AFP) - A strong earthquake of 6.9 magnitude struck off the southern Philippine island of Mindanao on Saturday (Dec 29), raising fears of dangerous tsunami waves across the region but after about two hours, the tsunami warning was withdrawn. There were no reports of casualties or damage from the earthquake, which the US Geological Survey (USGS) said struck 193km east of the Philippine city of General Santos, at a depth of 60km. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre initially said "hazardous tsunami waves" were possible within 300 km of the epicentre", along the coasts of the Philippines, Indonesia and the Pacific island nation of Palau. But about two hours after the quake struck, the centre said there was no longer a tsunami threat.

Every once in a while there is good news. Look at these two sentences in the above story. ".."but after about 2 hours, the tsunami warning was withdrawn." There were no reports of casualties or damage from the earthquake, which the US Geological Survey (USGS) said struck 193km east of the Philippine city of General Santos, at a depth of 60km. But about two hours after the quake struck, the center said there was no longer a tsunami threat."

Why so many crazies in the U.S.A? This number is partly the reason: 330,000,000 people in U.S.A.

I wrote a response to the following post on stuff getting stuck in people's rectums.

https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1018&pid=1162274

I want discuss this again because it is that number that partly answers the question people ask, "Why so many crazies in the U.S.A.? But that number raises more questions that need to be answered. I wish I knew..

The only qualification to be a citizen, is to be born here..nothing else...and millions are here that are legal and illegals, who were not born here....so what?............well all types...of people here:

..smart..
..stupid.
..ignorant..
..brilliant..
..religious
..atheist
..athletes
..violent.
..nuts.
..people who read a lot
..people who never read.
..people who watch TV a lot
..people who eat a lot
..people who eat very little.
..people who steal
..people who do not steal.
..people who vote.
..people who do not vote

and whatever characteristics that you can name or discover you can add.

You name it, lots of people here...Probably the most diversity of any country in the entire world..

But there is more to this...I am adding today..12/28/18..Monday afternoon. That diversity is often invisible. Unless you look for it, maybe you don't see it. If you live in a rural area, maybe you will not see it at all. But it is there. This post is about how these people learn to be, what they turn out to be. Many come from good families, get a good education, and never cause any trouble. If they have political views that are not fitting in with a group of people, they know it is best to "shut up." No matter what side of the aisle that most people view life, they do not impose their views on others..and most of the time they "shut up" and do not cause trouble..

...But there are people who cannot shut up.. They like to hurt people with their words. And many are absolutely sure that they are totally correct with their thinking. Even if it one in a hundred in that group, that number comes to 3,300,000 people.. Lot's of them. These are mean people who argue and are sure that they are right..How did they get like that?...Lots of reasons maybe...: school, parents, total family, horrific experiences, reading, watching TV, using the internet, radio, local people who are neighbors teach them hate, and other reasons too. It is all about hate and being mean. Perhaps our education system does not teach fairness and honesty. Many learn in other ways like on the job, or in groups of like minded people.. And the hate gets stronger. In some places there are more of them, and in some places there are less of them.

... We are not alone. Many countries have similar diversities of people. Nevertheless, we have 330,000,000 people here from all areas of the world. I taught for a while in a high school with lots of diversity in a big city. It was estimated that the students spoke 55 different languages at that time...(80s and 90s)...Oh, this is not new for the U.S.A. New York City around 1900 had the same diversity and still has it. People come from everywhere to this place. Most have passports if they come from other countries. Many do not. So, once in the country...who around checks to see if you stay too long?...no one..only if you get into "trouble"..Otherwise many people stay indefinitely and cause no trouble and hurt no one...This diversity is a plus not a minus as some think. With this diversity comes a desire to learn the ways of the U.S.A. (The great majority of students where I taught did not hate and were not mean)

But what about the crazies? Still, no one checks on them if they cause no trouble. There is no "crazy police" checking to see one's political views. Only if someone gets into "trouble" do they come and check on you..Even in the high school where I taught, most of the odd ones were left alone if they did not cause "trouble". People wonder where the crazies come from, and why are there so many? Well, even if there are one in 80 crazies, not one in a hundred, that would put the number at around 4,500,000.

..Perhaps the answer is not so simple as to where the crazies come from. More important, what is to be done to prevent them from hurting other people who are not crazy..I don't have that answer. Maybe you do. Perhaps you can post some ideas to solve this problem. Please do so...

But once in a while I do look at the good, and not crazy people. We have someone with Asian background named Ted Lieu. He is not crazy. There is an Afro-American from Chicago who was President of the U.S.A. He is not crazy. (I got the feeling from watching him that he and his wife are very kind) A lady from California will be, "Speaker of the House of Representatives. She is not crazy. So many more fine and wonderful people in this country.

The least intelligent thing that Trump has ever said..???

My vote: ....."Most of the people not getting paid are Democrats’" in reference to no government checks going out.........I am sure there are many more.....What is your idea of "least intelligent" (stupidest) thing Trump has ever said???

Trump's legacy..."thousands of children in detention of the U.S.A. .."

That is it, right now, that is what this horrific man is totally responsible for. Simply put, stealing children from their parents, and putting them into prisons..(oh they don't call it that, but that is what it is)..Call it something else, but that is what it is. It is very sad that Trump in the name of the U.S.A. has done this....He is too stupid to know that this is as mean and stupid a thing that anyone can do.
..... "Take children from their parents.".....??? ...In the name of what??...

For Trump 'A War Everyday, Fought Increasingly Alone' - New York Times.

WASHINGTON — When President Trump grows frustrated with advisers during meetings, which is not an uncommon occurrence, he sits back in his chair, crosses his arms and scowls. Often he erupts. “Freaking idiots!” he calls his aides. Except he uses a more pungent word than “freaking.”

For two years, Mr. Trump has waged war against his own government, convinced that people around him are fools. Angry that they resist his wishes, uninterested in the details of their briefings, he becomes especially agitated when they tell him he does not have the power to do what he wants, which makes him suspicious that they are secretly undermining him.

Now, the president who once declared that “I alone can fix” the system increasingly stands alone in a system that seems as broken as ever. The swirl of recent days — a government shutdown, spiraling scandals, tumbling stock markets, abrupt troop withdrawals and the resignation of his alienated defense secretary — has left the impression of a presidency at risk of spinning out of control.

At the midpoint of his term, Mr. Trump has grown more sure of his own judgment and more cut off from anyone else’s than at any point since taking office. He spends ever more time in front of a television, often retreating to his residence out of concern that he is being watched too closely. As he sheds advisers at a head-spinning rate, he reaches out to old associates, complaining that few of the people around him were there at the beginning.

Mr. Trump is said by advisers to be consumed by the multiplying investigations that have taken down his personal lawyer, campaign chairman, national security adviser and family foundation. He rails against enemies, who often were once friends, nursing a deep sense of betrayal and grievance as they turn on him.
