About Me

I thought I knew a lot, and I found out... how little I knew about what I know. And how much more there is to learn, if I listen and read what others have to say.

Test Taking and Honesty...

At the local state university, there were four sophomores taking chemistry and
>all of them had an "A" so far. These four friends were so confident that,
>the weekend before finals, they decided to visit some friends and have a
>big party. They had a great time but, after all the hearty partying, they
>slept all day Sunday and didn't make it back to State College until early
>Monday morning.
>Rather than taking the final then, they decided that after the final they
>would explain to their professor why they missed it. They said that they
>visited friends but on the way back they had a flat tire. As a result, they
>missed the final. The professor agreed they could make up the final the
>The guys were excited and relieved. They studied that night for the exam.
>The Professor placed them in separate rooms and gave them a test booklet.
>They quickly answered the first problem worth 5 points.
>Cool, they thought! Each one in separate rooms, thinking this was going to
>be easy.... then they turned the page. On the second page was written:
one sentence.."For 95 points...Which Tire"?...................

A modern princes talks to the frog.......

Once upon a time in a land far away, a beautiful, independent,
> self-assured princess happened upon a frog as she sat contemplating
> ecological issues on the shores of an unpolluted pond in a beautiful
> meadow near her castle.
> A frog hopped into the Princess's lap and said, "Elegant Lady, I
> was
> once a handsome Prince, until an evil witch cast a spell upon me.
> One kiss from you, however, and I will turn back into the dapper,
> young, handsome Prince that I am and then, my sweet, we can marry and
> set up housekeeping in your castle with my mother, where you can
> prepare my meals, clean my clothes, bear my children, and forever
> feel
> grateful and happy doing so."
> That night, as the Princess dined sumptuously on a repast of
> lightly
> saute ed frog legs seasoned in a white wine and onion cream sauce.
> She chuckled to herself and thought: I don't think so!!

Today's sexist Joke.......about women..beware !!!!!

> 1. It is important to find a woman that cooks and
cleans well..
> 2. It is important to find a woman that makes good
> 3. It is important to find a woman that has an
insatiable appetite for great sex....
> 4. It also is very important that these three women never ever

Romney and Obama on Election Night..true story.

Yesterday, I talked to a man who happened be be at McCormick Place in Chicago, where Obama was going to speak.. He knew someone who was on the tech staff of either McCormick Place or one of the stations covering the event. He had no way of getting in since he did not have a "pass"..As he stood around this huge building, someone came up to him with a handfull of passes. She said, "Would you like to go in and see the President speak?"..so he accepted from an unkown person went through the detectors and was in the hall when Obama gave his speech (along with 10,000 others)..The lady continued to give away "passes"..I guess they wanted the hall to be full. He surely wasn't close, but he was in.. But it wasn't an exclusive event by a long shot.

Romney had an exclusive event for only the top contributors. He was sure he was going to win, so he invited the most important people who gave the most money. That is what is important to him. Ties and tuxcedos etc...we all know about it..

So there it is...who these people really are....
(by the way...in 2008, Obama gave an open air speech in Grant Park..all who wanted to be there could be there...sure you couldn't see much from far away...but...open to all who could make it...I wish I had been there, but I know people who were, even though they couldn't see, it was truly a heartwarming event in 2008)

You Tube version ...John Stewart..Rips Into Fox News and Bullshit Mountain.

Five reasons why I am happy today..

The rehab place I was at for hip surgery had only one computer in the basement, I was following the lead up to the election from there, after I got well enough to walk around the place. The one site I went to most often was Nate Silver's 538. He got it exactly right, and that is really amazing.

I am so happy that an openly gay woman won in Wisconsin, because it proves to me, that this garbage about gender really doesn't matter anymore..(in most places) We need to accept each other and forget about what people do in the bedroom.
I am also very very happy that those nuts who talked about rape being some sort of God thing, and the resulting fetus must be kept, that they went down..almost all, of them. That is the mother's decision, not some male who thinks he has some direct link to God.. Let those men who talked that way be gone forever
I am glad that marijuana became legal in places..What a waste of time and money going after people who use pot..Reminds me of the insanity around booze in the 20s during prohibition..
I am happy that the most respected politician in the world who is currently governing a major country won.
I am happy that perhaps the President can appoint some sane members to the Supreme Court who will overrule Citizens United.

Perhaps we can accept the results and try to work together to improve this country..There was so much hate and anger during the election against this President.for lots of reasons. Maybe things will improve..Let us hope so...

13 Days ago ...Hip Surgery

It has been almost two weeks since my hip surgery.I am getting stronger and walking around in rehab with a walker. Second time I have had acess to a computer, rehab has one desk top that is available to all, the lap top they lent me doesn't seem to work. Thanks to all that offered support before this. I appreciate your warmth kindness and careing...I should have more time on the the computer and will report back soon. Thanks again

More surgery for me... hip surgery.. Monday..very scared.

Had heart surgery in Feb,, got out of rehab in March... then , got pneumonia at beginning of April..back to hospital..again..now..left hip on Monday. so scared. I don't know what to say..may skip out and go to tazmania..looking for the Tazmanian Devil..a cartoon character I do not like..shoot him on the spot....

The first of a few..cartoons from the mid 90s daily cartoon show..

There was some educational value...here is an example:
Waco sings 50 state capitals...about 2:40 seconds..then potty emergency and last a brilliant satire of a ..West Side Story...
called...West Side Pidgens ..12minutes..but wonderful satire and fun..really for adults...who have a familiarity with West Side Story..many of the Animaniac toons were really for adults. Actually satire for tv and movie fans..Like a take off on 2001, Bambi, Star Trek and many more. Full animation with outstanding music and gags. I got every ep on tape..and a cell which I purchased from a a show..If you have time, all of these are really worth watching, especially the last one..

Potty Emergency.:

The truth about "Sensa" diet plan...ain't worth a penny.......independent analysis..

Web MD..fairly independent and honest...Web Md is not trying to sell you anything....
..........Sensa is trying to sell you something..and it ain't cheap...
