Are You a Very English Butler? The U.K. Government Needs You

LONDON — Of the current vacancies in the British government’s hundreds of job listings for policy and strategy advisers, one stands out. Wanted: two butlers.

Duties include delivering “the highest quality V.I.P. hospitality for all government departments and ministers” and managing the government’s wine cellar.

Maximum annual salary: 30,000 pounds (not quite $40,000).

Only British nationals need apply, according to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, which advertised the roles.

It's official! Steve Yzerman is coming back to be the Red Wings general manager. Check out the latest here.

The Detroit Red Wings aren’t wasting time welcoming Steve Yzerman back into their fold.

The Wings have called a press conference for this afternoon, just days after the Tampa Bay Lightning, for whom Yzerman was under contract as a senior adviser to the general manager, were eliminated from the playoffs.

A tweet, and early reports, all but gave away the announcement: Yzerman will become general manager with Holland moving into an advisory role.

A source with knowledge of the situation, who spoke on condition of anonymity, later confirmed the news to the Free Press.

North Korea rejects Pompeo from nuclear dialogue: KCNA

Source: Reuters

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea no longer wants U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo involved in nuclear talks, calling for someone who “is more careful and mature in communicating”, state media said on Thursday.

The official KCNA news agency also said, quoting Kwon Jong Gun, a senior official at the North’s foreign ministry, that “no one can predict” the situation on the Korean peninsula if the United States does not abandon the “root cause” that compelled Pyongyang to develop its nuclear program, without elaborating.
