Wall Street Donors Seek To BLOCK Warren VP Pick

NEW YORK — Big Wall Street donors have a message for Hillary Clinton: Keep Elizabeth Warren off the ticket or risk losing millions of dollars in contributions. In a dozen interviews, major Democratic donors in the financial services industry said they saw little chance that Clinton would pick the liberal firebrand as her vice presidential nominee. These donors despise Warren’s attacks on the financial industry. But they also think her selection would be damaging to the economy. And they warned that if Clinton surprises them and taps Warren, big donations from the industry could vanish.

“If Clinton picked Warren, her whole base on Wall Street would leave her,” said one top Democratic donor who has helped raise millions for Clinton. “They would literally just say, ‘We have no qualms with you moving left, we understand all the things you’ve had to do because of Bernie Sanders, but if you are going there with Warren, we just can’t trust you, you’ve killed it.’”

Most big donors don’t want Warren on the ticket because she is the most accomplished anti-Wall Street populist in the Democratic Party. But many also think her presence would drive a potential Clinton administration too far to the left, poison relations with the private sector from the start and ultimately be damaging to the economy. A constant theme that emerged in the interviews is that executives in the financial industry believe the first 100 days of a Clinton administration could feature potential deal making with Republicans, who are likely to maintain their majority in the House of Representatives. The dream deal for Wall Street would be a combination of targeted infrastructure spending that appeals mostly to Democrats and corporate and international tax reform that could bring Republicans along. The fear is that Warren would make such a deal more difficult.

“Clinton is going to face a divided government unless there is a total tsunami,” said one moderate Washington Democrat with close ties to the banking industry. “What you want in a vice president is someone who can negotiate for you on the Hill, someone like Joe Biden. And that is not a Warren strength.”

All of the donors and senior Democrats interviewed for this story demanded that their names not be used both because they were not authorized to speak about the Clinton campaign’s internal deliberations and because they feared Warren’s wrath. “There is no upside to my talking to you on the record,” one big donor said. “Either I piss off the Clinton campaign or I piss off Warren, or both.” Several donors said they did not really fear Warren going on the ticket because they do not believe Clinton has a strong relationship with the senator and would not trust Warren to be a loyal No. 2, either on the campaign or in the White House.

“First of all, they don’t particularly like each other,” said one prominent hedge fund manager who has raised millions for Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton before her. But, the manager added, “The absolute predicate for a vice presidential nominee is they have to understand they are No. 2 both during the campaign and once you take office, and I just don’t think Elizabeth Warren is that type of person.”

“Things are so volatile now with all of the outside groups that all it can take is pissing off one billionaire on Wall Street to make it difficult,” said Sheila Krumholz, executive director of the CRP. “And you don’t run national campaigns for as many years as Clinton has without some serious support from Wall Street, they are just too much of a heavy hitter.”

STOP The HATEFUL Sneering at Anyone Who Raises Hillary Clinton Concerns

NC For Bernie @NCForBernie

Stop the hateful sneering at anyone who raises Clinton concerns

http://thebernreport.com/stop-hateful-sneering-raises-concerns/ … #FeelTheBern

Questioning/challenging Clinton’s (or anyone’s) history and positions, and their impact on our future, cannot be silenced because someone else might be worse. Those demanding such silence are encouraging more suppression in a period already painfully marked by suppression. And too many are doing it hatefully.

Guccifer 2.0 Releases a NEW DUMP of DNC and Hillary Clinton Financial Documents and Donor Info

Earlier this week, a hacker, calling himself Guccifer 2.0, breached the DNC servers and was able to obtain opposition research on Donald Trump, as well as other financial documents. The hacker today released additional financial documents and contribution records. The DNC confirmed the hack but hasn’t confirmed whether the files released were authentic or not. Some of the contributions go back to 2013. The first report shows that just over a 100 donors contributed over $9.2 million to the DNC.

A second report shows that 39 contributors donated over $4.2 million in campaign contributions.

Clinton’s Campaign Actively Fundraising for Super PAC’s Despite Previous Claims

In the Democratic debate in Milwaukee, Hillary Clinton claimed that her campaign doesn’t coordinate with her super PAC’s. She said:

I can’t speak for the Koch brothers. You’re referring to a Super PAC that we don’t coordinate with, that was set up to support President Obama, that has now decided that they want to support me. They are the ones who should respond to any questions.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/02/11/transcript-the-democratic-debate-in-milwaukee-annotated/

I have already refuted Clinton’s claim in the past. Guccifer 2.0’s latest dump also contains a memo from her campaign directing fundraisers to contribute directly to Clinton’s Super PAC’s. Fundraisers were also instructed to advise donors that Super PAC’s are essential for winning general elections: “We cannot win this election without [Preferred Super PAC]. You should support them.” The memo names three Super PAC’s “Priorities USA, American Bridge, and WOMEN VOTE!” that donors should consider donating too. The law allows campaigns to ask donors to donate a maximum $5,000 for a specific Super PAC. However, the message used by fundraisers is positioned in a way to make it clear to donors that they can donate as much as they would like to (emphasis mine):

Finally, you should support [Preferred Super PAC A] and [Preferred Super PAC B]. We cannot win without them. The law allows us to ask our supporters for $5,000 each for [Preferred Super PAC A and B]. That is what we are doing.

Fundraises probably wink to donors after making the above statement. Guccifer 2.0 also exposed other financial and strategy documents. The hacker claims that he extracted “tons of files and [documents],” and he’ll release more files in the future. As of the writing of this article, the DNC and the Clinton campaign have not responded to our requests for comment. We will update this article as we learn more about this latest development.

By The End of 2020, If HRC Were Elected President..

That would make it 32 years of time lapsed between 1988 to 2020.

As such, the Presidency will have been controlled by only 2 families (Bushes & Clintons) for a period of 24 of the 32 years........with a brief 8 year pause by the Obama presidency.

Is this the best we can do?

Hacker Shows DNC WAS-ALL-IN On Hillary Clinton From The Very Beginning

A hacker named Guccifer 2.0 revealed a DNC memo from May 26, 2015 that detailed goals and strategies for getting Hillary Rodham Clinton (HRC) elected. It proves that despite many public pronouncements, the DNC never had any interest in treating Bernie Sanders or the voters with respect and fairness.

Forget Party Unity: The New DNC EMAIL LEAK Means There's NO Going Back For Bernie Sanders’ Democrats

"..Thus far Guccifer 2.0’s leak is seen as vindication that the process was skewed and manipulated. As far as Clinton is concerned, she, her supporters, and the DNC can all argue that Bernie Sanders lost because of votes, but at the end of the day, it won’t matter. Nothing anyone, including Sanders, can say will change the fact that his voters feel they weren’t treated fairly by the party, and to a large extent, they’re right..."

As Bernie Sanders delivered a livestream address to his supporters on Thursday about the future of his movement, he signaled an eventual end to the campaign. Encouraging his supporters to get involved, Sanders vowed to help Hillary Clinton defeat Trump conditional upon the Democratic Party adopting a “real progressive agenda.” However, earlier in the day news broke about a different story that undercut the Vermont Senator’s calls for eventual party unity. On the same website that published the DNC’s 200-page Donald Trump oppo file, the hacktivist known as “Guccifer 2.0” released what appears to be an internal email from the DNC discussing strategy, which served to confirm what many of Sanders’ supporters have felt all along: The Democratic Party leadership has had its thumb on the scale for Hillary Clinton in the primary. The email, dated May 26, 2015, about a month after Sanders announced his candidacy, revealed that at least some in the DNC were planning for a Clinton nomination:

In something right out of the Cold War, the DNC has claimed that these releases are part of a “Russian disinformation campaign,” but, according to FAIR, has provided no supporting evidence. But whatever the reason behind it, this leak has further incensed Sanders' supporters, and that is telling. It has been a long road to this point, but the fact that the 'Bernie Or Bust' Movement has grown to somewhere in the range of 3 to 4 million people (roughly a quarter to a third of Sanders' supporters) is as much a criticism of Hillary Clinton as a candidate as it is a condemnation of how the party has handled the primary. From the outset, there has been a perception of favoritism by the DNC leadership. Some of those concerns were due to the very fact that the DNC Chair, Debbie Wasserman Schultz was also Hillary Clinton's co-campaign chair in 2008. When Wasserman Schultz scheduled just six sanctioned debates at odd times when viewership would be predictably low, and after crucial deadlines to change one's voter registration in states like New York, and then threatened to ban candidates from those if they participated in unsanctioned ones, any hopes she'd had of appearing impartial were dashed.

-snip-

But it wasn't just Debbie Wasserman Schultz who soured Sanders supporters on the DNC. When news broke of a joint fundraising agreement between Clinton's campaign and the Democratic Party, many eyebrows were raised. Lee Fang of The Intercept then reported via Twitter that the DNC was funneling money into pro-Clinton super PACs. So close is the apparent relationship between the Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party, it could hardly be seen as shocking when Vice reported that the Democratic Party even shared a headquarters in Carson City, NV with the Clinton campaign.

Here's DNC paying (more) $ to American Bridge, which funds & shares office w/Hillary's Super PAC Correct the Record

Lee Fang ?@lhfang

Over the last 7 months the DNC has provided $216,000 to American Bridge, which is part of the Brock/Hillary SuperPAC network.
