GReedDiamond's JournalSenator Al Franken Grateful Dead Channel Takeover...
If you are subscriber to SiriusXM, next Tuesday, May 30, 2017, Senator Al Franken will "take over" the Grateful Dead Channel from 3:00 AM until 3:00 AM Wednesday, May 31.
From the promo I heard, he'll be playing live Dead shows that he attended, interviews with the band etc.
Should be interesting, and, knowing Senator Franken (no, not personally), highly amusing/entertaining.
This is not intended as SiriusXM spam, just a heads up to any DUers who like Senator Al and the Grateful Dead.
<Edited for clarity. Don't take the Brown Acid.>
Wow...apparently no one noticed the death of Chris Cornell...
...or whatever.
I don't know anymore.
RIP CC.
There will be less music in the future to appreciate without Chris.
Pasadena DUers: What are your thoughts on the March 7 election...
...for City Council? Specifically District 5.
The candidates are:
Victor M. Gordo, Aida Morales (although not sure if she will be on the ballot at this time), and Krystal Lopez Padley.
I have spoken to Gordo and Padley, I had no problem with what either of them said, but I am looking into their backgrounds to get a clearer picture of what to expect from them. I haven't been in Pasadena too long, so I believe this is the first City Council election I would've been able to vote in.
Gordo, the incumbent first elected in 2001, is an attorney and "Establishment Democrat" and has also served as Vice Mayor twice.
Padley is an unknown to me "small i independent," and I don't have any major issues with her stated positions on her "big 3" issues -public safety, infrastructure and education. I also know that she is not a Trump supporter, but neither is Gordo.
Anybody out there from Pasadena Dist. 5?
