GReedDiamond's JournalJack Benny & The Raiders...funny...
What was the first record you ever bought?
...and when I say "record," I mean everything from Edison Cylinder Rolls to 78s to reel-to-reel magnetic tapes, to 45s and 33-1/3s to CDs, depending on how old you happen to be, or what you're into, I suppose.
But it has to be an actual object encoded with "music" which you can hold in your hand(s), not some digital download on a flash drive.
Here's mine, when I was 8 years old:
"Surfin Bird" b/w "King of the Surf" by The Trashmen, 1963, label: Garret, 7" single.
This one's pretty funny, from an old tv appearance:
'63 was a big year for me, what with this and the Kennedy assassination all going on.
Listen to "Shiva" by my Grammy friend, Ricky Kej...
...Ricky is the fourth ever person from India to win a Grammy - in the New Age category.
This is the "single" from his live album, "Shiva" which was released 08/08/19:

Here is Ricky's Wikipedia entry:

His bg singer/keyboard player - Lonnie Park - played on my band's latest single release, "Moment Of Silence (Duet)" by Green Sparkle Frog, which is now available all over the internet, in all the usual places - Spotify, Google Play, Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon, Napster(!), Deezer(?) etc, plus some places I never heard of.
Oh and today is the first day of voting for the 62nd Grammy Awards, so I'm looking forward to seeing Ricky on his way to another Grammy.
The full 2015 documentary "The Wrecking Crew" is available for free...
...on the YouTube Movie channel - with commercial breaks.
Very interesting and worth a watch.
Here's a song I produced called "Moment Of Silence (Duet)"...
For reasons I will not get into here, I have deleted the Green Sparkle Frog account at ReverbNation.com.
Update 9/14/19: The song may now be heard here:
https://www.jango.com/music/Green+Sparkle+Frog
It is the first song listed at the top. The others are OK too.
I thought I'd see if anyone "appreciates" this new song I produced...
...this is the first attempted final mix - actually one of two mixes which are the same except for the endings - this one is the fade-out ending. The other mix - not available at the link - is the extended ending which is like 8 or 15 seconds longer.
The band is called Green Sparkle Frog, the song is called "Moment of Silence."
Any feedback/critique on this would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
It's the first song at the top of the list here:

First final mix of "Moment Of Silence"...
...by Green Sparkle Frog.
This may still be subject to revision, but I think it's pretty much done.
