I put this in a comment, and people thought it was a pretty good idea, so I thought I'd try it out as a post.
If Al's resignation is not rescinded with the full support of the Democratic Party, I say Franni (his amazing wife) should be appointed to his seat!
I read in another post that Chuck Schumer is now putting his thumb on the scale as to how he thinks the seat should be filled. Well, frankly, the ONLY people who should have their thumb on this scale are the people of Minnesota. But if Schumer can open his pie-hole on the subject, then so can I. I and I want Franni!
Maybe he should run for president.
So Franken is leaving the senate. But apparently sexual harassment/assault is okay for the president, so I hereby call on Al Franken to run for president.
I suppose he would need to switch to the Republican party first, though, since it is only ever "Okay If You're A Republican."
