RandySF's JournalSteve Bannon prevented Fox News from calling Georigia on Election night
A guest on the New Abnormal podcast reports that Fox News purchased a new, advanced dataset from the Associated Press that allowed them to call Arizona before anyone else, and that Steve Bannon went apeshit and contacted the network when he got word that the Decision Desk was about to call Georgia as well.
Rick Wilson just lost his shit against Rick Scott and Marco Rubio
On this week's 'New Abnormal' podcast. Definitely worse a listen.

A man who shot and killed himself out of U.S. Rep. Beth Van Duynes Irving home Wednesday was a former staffer of the freshman Republican congresswoman and a GOP activist, officials said.
The Irving Police Department confirmed his identity to The Dallas Morning News Thursday as Richard Christian Chris Dillard, 55. He was Van Duynes communications director for her campaign from November 2019 to April 2020, according to his LinkedIn profile, which shows him pictured with Texas GOP Chairman Allen West. Dillard was a member of the Texas State Guard, The Texas Military Department Public Affairs staff confirmed Thursday.
Dillard shot himself and died by suicide Wednesday, police said. Van Duyne, a freshman Republican, was home at the time, according to spokeswoman Amanda Gonzalez Thompson.
Van Duyne called police after she heard a shot and saw a body on her front walkway at around 3:45 p.m. Van Duyne had been participating in a Transportation and Infrastructure Committees budget meeting at the time.
The reason behind Dillards death is still unknown, said Irving Police Department Public Information Officer Robert Reeves. Dillard did not have a history of mental illness, Reeves said.

Biden to Rescind Medicaid Work Requirements
The Biden administration is planning Friday to wipe out one of the core health policies of the Trump era, taking actions that will immediately rescind permission for states to compel poor residents to work in exchange for receiving Medicaid benefits, the Washington Post reports.
Federal health officials will withdraw their predecessors invitation to states to apply for approval to impose such work requirements and will notify 10 states granted permission that it is about to be retracted.

VA-GOV: 'Trump in heels' emerges as problem for GOP in Virginia
A Virginia state senator and gubernatorial candidate who has described herself as Trump in heels is emerging as a problem for the states Republican party as they seek to take the governors mansion.
Amanda Chase boasts enthusiastic grassroots support in pockets of the state. But she has also drawn bipartisan rebuke for incendiary statements calling for martial law to overturn the 2020 presidential election and seemingly expressing support for the mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol. That's left Democrats eager to paint her as the face of the states Republican Party.
Chase on Tuesday filed a lawsuit alleging that the Republican Party was attempting to tank her candidacy, accusing the state GOP of trying to force a situation where the partys executive committee selects a gubernatorial nominee rather than a traditional convention or primary.
"Currently, the Republican Party of Virginia has chosen a method that is illegal under the Governor's current executive orders and is secretly planning to choose the statewide nominees themselves, bypassing the people of Virginia, Chase said in a statement on Tuesday. I will not stand for this. The people should be allowed to vote on Republican nominees."

Gina Carano Fired from The Mandalorian, Lucasfilm Calls Social Media Posts 'Abhorrent'
Gina Carano, the actor who portrayed Cara Dune in the first two seasons of Star Wars: The Mandalorian, has been fired by Lucasfilm following "abhorrent" posts that she made on social media, including one which compared her conservative views to being a Jew during the Holocaust.
A spokesperson for Lucasfilm issued a statement saying, "Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future," according to Deadline. "Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable."
Carano's character, the Alderaanian bounty hunter Carasynthia Dune, had a major role in The Mandalorian Season 1 and Season 2, and given her popularity and the way the show left off, it was expected that she would return for Season 3.
However, her employers at the Lucasfilm production company reacted strongly to her recent controversial remarks. Carano shared a post on an Instagram story detailing how strong fascist influence in Europe made it easier for Nazis to persecute Jews by first making the rest of the world hate them. The post ends by positing, "How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?" As Carano is an outspoken political conservative and has attracted negative attention over her views, there appeared to be a clear comparison.
