When will George Clooney run for Congress?

He's handsome, eloquent, progressive and a foreign policy expert. He would be a great addition to Congress.

I see Drudge has no exit polling out on Hawaii.

I guess he's wiping the Santorum off his face.

Santorum: Voters demand 'one-on-one' with Romney

Rick Santorum told Fox News on Tuesday night that conservative voters want him in a “one-on-one” contest with Mitt Romney, but noted that he “can’t control” whether Newt Gingrich drops out of the race.

Santorum, who has been declared the winner in the Alabama Republican presidential primary, told Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren that he thinks voters are ready for a two-man race.

“It’s very, very clear that outside of Speaker Gingrich’s backyard, if you will, we are the candidate that is taking it to Mitt Romney,” Santorum said from Lafayette, La. “We are winning states all over the country. And I think the folks here in Alabama and Mississippi, you know, are seeing that. They want a conservative nominee. I think that’s what it is coming down to. They want a conservative nominee and the best way to get that is for us to have a one-on-one opportunity with Gov. Romney.”

Pundits bashing Santorum now that he leads in MS and AL.

IS the M$M worried? They were getting ready to place the crown on Willard, but now that it's on hold, they are bashing Man-on-dog right and left.

Pundits: We're not worthy. We don't understand cultural conservatism.

Every four years when the primaries head to the South, all the talking heads flagellate themselves because they don't understand cultural conservatism. Tonight is no exception. It's got old a long time ago.

Obama's approval rating up to 50 percent: Reuters/Ipsos poll

(Reuters) - For the first time since early July, more Americans approve of the job President Barack Obama is doing than disapprove, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll that shows his approval rating now at 50 percent.

The poll, taken March 8-11 on the heels of reports that 227,000 jobs were added to the U.S. economy in February, indicates that Obama's rating has risen by 2 percentage points during the past month. The percentage of Americans who disapprove of the Democratic president was 48 percent, down from 49 percent in February.

Some other polls have shown a recent dip in Obama's approval rating, and linked that to rising gasoline prices.

But for most Americans, other economic trends during the past month have been relatively positive. Obama appears to be benefiting from that, and perhaps from a bitter Republican presidential campaign that at times has focused on divisive social issues such as abortion.

"The economy is improving," said Ipsos pollster Cliff Young. "Not by leaps and bounds but people feel that things are getting better." The Reuters/Ipsos poll also found that Americans' confidence in the direction of the country is ticking upward. In the poll, 37 percent of those surveyed said the United States is headed in the right direction, up from 32 percent in February.

Prediction: Romney wins HI and MS, Santorum wins AL.

It will be a humiliating night for Newt.

Random and trivial Walking Dead musings.

1. Rick seems to think that Winter will slow down the walkers. Considering their nocturnal activity and increased encounters as the weather is turning, I think his judgement is in error.

2. Why are they still in Georgia? I would have made a beeline the the most sparsely populated part of North America. I heard Northern Manitoba is lovely this time of year.

3. Will we ever see Merle again? I kind of miss that Nazi.

4. The cast really does reflect the new face of Atlanta. The Southern accents barely outnumbered the northern ones.

5. Will we see the helicopter again?
