Can't really argue with this...

Canít resign from a race, but there are times that I wish that I could.

Some of my people have no shame, no morals, no heart.

How convenient...

Nobody in this thread is talking about Jeff Sessions

At least Iím not. Pete Sessions was a Congressional representative from North Texas.

Jefferson Beauregard Sessions was a US Senator from Alabama and was Trumpís 1st AG...

Are there any?

Romney, Flake, Collins are as close as they come these days, but they consistently lack the courage of their expressed convictions. Even McCain failed to live up to his own hypeóalthough Iíll always remember the strength of his spine when he knew death was coming.

Before today there was John Danforth of Missouri, who like Collins today, always said the right sounding things, and then would fold like a garage sale card table.

I wonder if Lincoln was the only and last Republican patriot.

Can't tell you how happy this makes me...

Pete Sessions is considered to be extraordinarily stupid and arrogant by most North Texas Republicans.

The rest of us just hate him for who and what he is.

He knows he canít win in his former district, so he is trying to run in the kind of rural type district that had gifted us with Texas luminaries such as Joe Barton and Louie Gohmert.

Being named in an indictment will probably help him in this state, but I canít help but be 😁

But will they finally turn on him?

He has shown the world that he cannot be worked with. Heís not reliable. Heís not honest. Heís not trustworthy. He cannot be a good ally. He cannot be anything but an enemy. He is going to destroy this country probably if the Republicans do not wake up and turn him out of office. We need their help. This is not some fucking partisan game.

When this is over we will not have allies. Who will trust us?Even the Israelis are nervous now. No one knows what will happen next. We have just condemned our best ally in the Middle East to certain genocide. And Trump is babbling something about itís OK because they didnít support us during World War II.

He has to go. He has to.

They've raised hypocrisy to an art form

I often wonder how their heads don't explode from the cognitive dissonance rattling around in there.

But, then I reflect that they all share one trait--they're fundies. Fundamentalists absorb errant nonsense with their mother's milk and it only gets worse from there.

I once made the mistake of asking a fundie girl whether she thought I was going to hell and she replied without a moments hesitation, "Of course". We'd just finished having sex.

I was raised as a Catholic and we at least had the good grace to feel guilty (although that had passed by this time). She, on the other had, was "saved". That meant you could do anything and it was okay. Didn't even have to feel guilty or go to confession.

Screwing a heathen? Not a problem.

Genocide? Not a problem. A double standard? That is a very small thing indeed. Definitely not an issue.

What's our rank?

Given the current financial free-for-all in politics in general and in the Trump regime specificallyóI wonder what our ranking is these day.

Weíve got to be climbing fast.

My favorite is the girl acting like sheís recoiling from the statue slapping her. Some serious creativity there.
