This could be applied to Trump voters

As Trump continues to fuck over his voters this is a parable that could easily be applied to those that voted for Trump. They knew he was a poisonous viper, but they voted for the reptile anyway.

Vote for anyone that has a D next to their name!

I genuinely hope that Bloomberg won’t be the nominee. The way he is trying to simply buy the election offends me at a very deep level.

But I will vote for him if he gets the nomination.

I would vote for my dog Telie if she got the nod.

Yea

This is very well documented.

In fact, I think the USAF, USN, and USMC all use amphetamines to keep pilots alert when they are flying more than safety recommendations. Whether methedrine or not I don’t know.

Amphetamines are very good at what they do. They are, for example, the only truly effective “diet” pills. They drastically suppress appetite, dramatically speed up metabolism, increase energy...

Unfortunately, they also induce a pleasurable euphoria that is very habit forming.

Add to that the fact that they can prevent sleep for days at higher (more pleasurable) doses that can lead to amphetamine psychoses and that amphetamines also interfere with saliva production. The lack of saliva means that the natural mouth cleansing saliva provides stops and rampant tooth decay results.

The side effects can kill you.

Ironic isn't it?

Joe Walsh was the quintessential right wing, bomb throwing, Tea Party wack job.

And now he and I could agree at least on some things?

The enemy of my enemies is my friend?

Oh, and Bloody Bill Kristol just announced he’s voting Democratic.

WTF?

Duh

Nobody really thought she actually went off on her own and showed some steel?

This was closely choreographed. 3 would have been too obvious and left the door open for a last minute rogue move by someone.

2 was just right.

Distillation of the ugliness in the souls of the wealthy

Trump has gathered around himself a coterie of the extremely wealthy. Each day their public utterances give us a window into their nihilistic vision of the world. Mnuchin, Carson, Ross care nothing for the teeming masses—citizen and non-citizen alike.

This is what Jesus spoke when he said “it is easier to pass a camel through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of god...”

I’m not religious, but I’ve always felt that the New Testament carries some important lessons that are rarely paid attention to.

Lo, witness the banality of evil.

Marc Thiessen is a fool

I subscribe to the WP and occasionally start reading one of Thiessen pieces before I realize that he’s the author. I’m always struck by the speciousness of his sneering right wing snark. The world always seems to overtake his aggressive idiocy and shows it to be nonsense.

This one is one of the best ever. He reminds me of Bloody Bill Kristol who was always wrong about everything until he became a Never Trumper.

Yeah...

Go figure. I used to worry about what was in my FBI file back in the day. Definitely didn’t think that they were the good guys—more like the American Gestapo.

Now they’re the closest thing we’ve got to good guys. They at least are concerned that there be rules.

Not like this lot of anti-democratic subversives.

A Dallas Morning News reader

A Dallas Morning News reader wrote an impassioned letter to the editor imploring us to only watch Fox if we want to get the real story about the Senate trial.

I’ve been heartened by the LTE coming in because they’ve been running about 90% against our Republican Senators and for conviction and removal.

But then this.

The fight against this kind of willful ignorance will never end.
