&feature=shareThe New York Times Downplays The Influence Of Money In Politics
The New York Times downplayed the impact of the Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling and dismissed the influence of money in politics by ignoring record-breaking spending of outside groups, the role of large donor political contributions, and dark money in the 2014 midterm election.
A December 9 New York Times Magazine article entitled "Who Wants to Buy a Politician?" argued that the "forecast that a flood of money would follow" the 2010 Citizens United ruling has largely not come to fruition. Author Binyamin Appelbaum noted that "spending has declined in each of the last two congressional elections" and argued that spending on campaign elections is "economically inefficient" because campaign spending has little impact on election outcomes:

Right-Wing Torture Commens
So I went on a right-wing website and saw these comments on torture
I keep trying to figure out why this harridan would be so willing to endanger the lives of so many. And now we find out this morning that the bad guys are going to use all the techniques in the report to inflict pain onto any westerner they can get hold of.
I have concluded that she has 3 issues:
1. She is blinded to reason because of her seething hatred for the right which has been further inflamed by the mid-term election disaster for the left and her pending loss of relevance.
2. She is a genuinely low IQ individual who is not only learning challenged but is also bereft of common sense.
3. She is angry beyond our ability to comprehend at every pretty woman in America, most of whom are on the right, not the left. Thus her antipathy toward this group colors everything else in her life and, I suspect, drives her every move.
In short, she is in need of a host of psychiatrists, similar to the group of "spiritual counselors" Bill "Horn Dog" Clinton needed to help him "straighten out" his penis problem after he turned his wife into "the most humiliated woman in the world", a distinction she will carry to her grave
Second comment
The deceit and treachery of what Feinstein and her colleagues, enablers, and cheerleaders have done here is far worse than anything the CIA or the Bush Administration ever did. It is written in the Bible "Judge not lest he be judged." The judgment of history will be very harsh on Senator Feinstein.
If anybody knows who Ms. Feinstein, she is corporate moderate-to-liberal democrat. Unlike the progressive left which is very skeptical on intelligence agencies, Ms. Feinstein seems to have more faith and trust in the intelligence agency's method and tactics. She has been to big defender of the intelligence agencies compared to others on the progressive wing of the party.
I find these comments to be really ingenious especially knowing her history. I am afraid that the commentators live under dark
cave and believe that neocon propaganda.
And people like this is exactly why we have the Congress that we have. How do you knock common sense into these people? At this people, I believe that these people genetic makeup plus life experience combines a toxic stew of nonsensical conservative paranoia and belief.
