OGR Chairman Issa "Delays" Hearings on Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP). Affected Families Stunned.
Yesterday The Canary Party and her partners who have worked for a year on getting hearings on vaccine injury in Congress were informed that the hearing on the VICP that was set for December 4th has been postponed until next year. We had a call this morning with the staff of the House Committee on Oversight and Government to get more clarity on their decision, and were informed that while the community of vaccine injured families is eager to testify, they were finding "reluctance" from others to participate in the hearings.

The dismissive analysis by your source (Gorski) is filled with false claims.
For a simple example see the sentences excerpted. These are factually incorrect as demonstrated in the specific case of NJ by the CDC researcher leading the study in the state. The medical/scientific sources I provided are impeccable and cannot legitimately be challenged, so your focus becomes disparaging the secondary sites reporting their findings. That's public relations, not science.

Public health policy shouldn't involve CLASSIC privatizing profit and socializing losses. Bad incentives there (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Privatizing_profits_and_socializing_losses), as the upcoming Congressional hearing will likely highlight.
No misinformation whatsoever, none, although you're certainly entitled to your views (which I regard as extreme, hyperbolic and highly misguided).
We may disagree, but surely you wish to be apprised of the work of autism activists who are seeking to reduce the disease? No, they're wrong, they're outlaws now and forever? Sorry if you still don't recognize the parallels, chiefly the bureaucratic response they are facing to what can only be described as a public health crisis.
Dr. Mumper's study, published by Harvard's leaders in the field, zeroed autism in her practice by altering multiple variables INCLUDING THE VACCINE SCHEDULE. Six cases of autism were statistically predicted, none occurred. Modest, anecdotal, yes, but likely to be tested across the country. That's great news! The current schedule isn't sacrosanct, nor should it be. That's where we differ.
Time will tell.

Win for Public Health as Legal Pressure of Food Safety and Agriculture Groups Compels Agency and Industry to Act
Late yesterday, under threat of a lawsuit, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) responded to a nearly four-year-old petition, calling for the immediate withdrawal of the vast majority of arsenic-containing compounds used as feed additives for chickens, turkeys and hogs. A lawsuit filed by Center for Food Safety (CFS) on behalf of CFS, the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP), and seven other U.S. food safety, agriculture, public health, and environmental groups compelled the FDA to respond. FDA will withdraw three of the four arsenicals and all drug approvals associated with them. Of the 101 drug approvals for arsenic-based animal drugs, 98 will be withdrawn.
“The withdrawal of these harmful feed additives is a major victory for consumers and the health of our food system. It is unfortunate that legal pressure from outside groups was necessary to spur action by FDA, yet in the end, we are pleased that FDA listened to our scientific objections and is now working to rid arsenic from our meat supply,” said Paige Tomaselli, senior attorney with Center for Food Safety.
“The actions by FDA and industry confirm what we’ve been saying for seven years, the use of arsenic in animal feed is not necessary and poses needless risk to public health,” said Ben Lilliston, vice president for program at IATP. “The FDA’s response is long overdue to reduce exposure to arsenic and should launch a more comprehensive evaluation of health risks associated with animal feed produced by the pharmaceutical industry.”
Arsenic is added to poultry feed for the purposes of inducing faster weight gain on less feed, and creating the perceived appearance of a healthy color in meat from chickens, turkeys and hogs. A 2006 IATP report estimated that more than 70 percent of all U.S. chickens raised for meat are fed arsenic, and testing of supermarket bought and fast food chicken found that much of it contained some level of arsenic.
